My son was involved in a complex felony case along with 3 other young men (all 4 young men had their own lawyers) with huge consequences if found guilty. Mr. Aslamy listened to my son, believed he was innocent and took charge from there. Even though Mr. Aslamy was appointed by the court and we paid h im nothing. He took ownership in the courtroom and worked hard and stayed focused. Once while we were in the courtroom even the judge looked at me and my son and told us You have an excellent lawyer. We already new that! Needless to say my son's case was dismissed. The other 3 young men involved are still going through court hearings. Mr. Aslamy was our God Send and I am eternally grateful and wish him much happiness and success. Thank You Again!!!...

Mr. Aslamy was unprepared, unavailable, uninterested, and all around disappointing. Promised the world in the beginning and once he was paid, he changed everything he said he would "fight" for. Has his paralegal do most of his work. Have never heard of leaving a court case WORSE off than you were b efore hiring a lawyer and this was the case with hiring Mr. Aslamy- pay the extra money for a more competent attorney- I wish I did.

MR. ASLAMY REPRESENTED MY HUSBAND FOR CRIMINAL CASE. HE NEVER RETURNED PHONE CALLS, WHEN YOU HAVE A QUESTION HE WOULD GO ALL AROUND THE QUESTION AND TELL YOU WHAT HE THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO HEAR TO RUSH YOU OFF THE PHONE. DOES NOT DO ANYTHING YOU ASK OF HIM. HE MISREPRESENTED MY HUSBAND. THEY WENT TO T RAIL AND AS AN ATTORNEY HE NEVER SUGGESTED TO MY HUSBAND WHAT HE SHOULD DO. IF HE WOULD HAVE MAYBE HE WOULD NOT BE IN THE SITUATION HE'S IN NOW. HE'S NOT INFORMANT, NEVER PREPARED AND WASN'T INTERESTED IN THE CASE. I BELIEVE THAT MR. ASLAMY, THE PROSECUTOR AND THE COMMISSIONER WHERE ALL WORKING TOGETHER TO RAILROAD HIM. SO IF YOU HAVE MR. ASLAMY AS AN ATTORNEY BE CAREFUL BECAUSE HE'S NOT WORKING WITH YOU.

My wife’s children were removed per an emergency order resulting from a baseless claim of child abuse. Despite us having video and audio evidence that contradicted the allegations, Kelly’s advice was to wait 6-8 months for DCS to investigate. She told us that we were not able to fight the allegations or the removal of custody of the kids. We sought several outside opinions and all were in agreement that our evidence was very strong and that *not* fighting the allegations would imply guilt on our part. Even worse: The day that the kids were taken away, I called and the office to beg them to contact my wife by phone that day as she was very distraught. Blake Binion-Holliday told me (verbatim), “We are not a crisis line. You are entitled to legal advice and you will receive that in writing by the end of the day.” I cannot believe the lack of empathy afforded to a client in the field of family law… In our opinion, Kelly’s office is fine for handling simple run-of-the-mill family cases. But if you have a complex case or one that goes before a judge, you need an attorney that exudes confidence and can get the judge’s attention and make your side of the case heard. Kelly proved utterly incapable of doing so - to the point that we wish we had hired the opposing attorney. Her lack of ability in front of a judge, her obvious inexperience in cases involving false allegations of abuse where DCS has become involved, and her unwillingness to admit that she was in over her head lead us to strongly recommend against representation from her office for all but the simplest of cases.

I hired Ms. Shaffer to file and complete an uncontested divorce. There was never a need for court time, just filing the appropriate paperwork. She did not do this correctly and that ended up extending the finalization by 6 months. I did not find her professional and felt she lack attention to deta il. I would not recommend her or her firm.

I hired Kelly for custody representation. I put $5,000 retainer which she blew through in several days and I also paid her hrly, which balance was paid in full, on time, by me. She used all my own work, forms, declarations, with nothing new to add to the table. I caught her "dealing" with opposing co unsel and didn't want to help me whatsoever. In my opinion, she is only in it for the money and how she can over bill clients. She was dishonest with me and when I questioned her on certain things, she got upset with me and closed herself off. I had to start representing myself, which I absolutely did a spectacular job. Now I have fantastic representation and couldn't be happier Kelly is behind me.

I hired Shaffer and associates to handle my custody matter. After complete and total disappointment working with Krystal Limon, an associate at Ms. Shaffers firm. I tried multiple attempts to contact Ms. Shaffer to discuss my dissatisfaction and to see if I could work with a different attorney at th e firm or if she could have a talk with my current attorney to get things back on track. The only responses I was ever given were about billing disputes (which I did not have a problem with at the time) and that if I would like to talk to Ms. Shaffer that I would have to be billed at her hourly rate. She expressed no concern about my case, she expressed no concern about my lack of satisfaction with an attorney at her firm, she expressed no concerns about my satisfaction as a client, the only thing she would ever discuss was billing. Let me be clear, Attorney Kelley Shaffer, was let go before the outcome of my case. This review is not a poor review due to a poor outcome, this is a poor review because I did not feel that I was getting my moneys worth and that the quality of work delivered was substandard and inconsistent. Also, I would like to add that the customer service of the entire firm of Shaffer and Associates degraded instantaneously once the attorney client relationship ended. I would not work with any one at firm in in the future as the lead attorney refuses to meet about client satisfaction issues without charging her hourly rate.

Has a "Badass Rep", she will act like she is tough & there to fight for you. That is a very overcharged ACT. She will definitely charge you a ton, and do NOTHING for the money. "Trial Fee", does not mean Trial either, and if you did do a trial & the doc then you would be in for 10,000 of thousands more for her to do little to nothing. If you want to pay an attorney to work hard for the other team, this is definitely your person. If you want to pay out the rear to ensure that you get treated like dirt, no communication, & even less empathy in a terrible situation, this is your person. If you want a manipulative human that only wants to demand what she believes, & not listen to what you want or what you desire & not stand up for you in anyway, this is your person. She is not at all timely with her responses, they can go for days or weeks without answer. She will not show for meetings that have been scheduled, and not give a reason. You will not be addressed until approximately 3 days before any of your trials or hearings, & then at that time you will be overwhelmed & rushed to get the information that is needed. Heaven help you if you don't have the additional funds, even if you have to sell your soul you better come up with the money, or else, her unqualified skills will become even less helpful to you. This lawyer ensured that walking through Hell was every bit of how it should be, the worst, and ensured you got absolutely nothing for your efforts in your family. Don't bother with the auto response, it would amount to anything anyway.
