  • ★★★★★Updating my review

I did eventually get a call back from Ms. Cotto who apologized and stated she had not gotten my message. I had an hour consult with her and she was very helpful. I had provided my documents to two other lawyers as well during consultations and Ms. Cotto was the only one who realized (immediately) tha t I had been served with an expired order. She even took the time to confirm this with the court. I would absolutely recommend using her services if needed.

  • ★★★★★Very Professional attorney

She did an excellent very professional job responding to a post-divorce petition so the case was settled without going to court and all my attorney's fees were covered. Thanks, Sylvina!

I contacted Sylvina and eventually hired her to help me finalize matters still lingering from my court ordered Settlement Conference. These unresolved matters come after many years of litigation and many judge changes. She worked really hard to bring herself up to speed on this case and help me to bring these matters to the new Commissioners (previous Judge retired) attention. The Commissioner re-ordered the Trustee to do the same things the previous Judge had ordered. He complied with some but, not all of those orders. Again, and again throughout the settlement process this Trustee has failed to do his duty. We were forced to take the Trustee to court in order to get him to fully comply. Sylvina did her best to enlighten the court as to the issues that the Trustee had ignored...sadly, our court system is broken, and this Trustee breached his duties and the terms of the stated wills again. I am still trying to understand how a person can meet with their attorney and have Will(s) drawn up - which clearly stated his wishes and, when those wishes are not complied with by the Trustee, our court system doesn't hold them accountable. Sylvina did her job the best she could, and I enjoyed working with her.

  • ★★★★★Great Law Firm!

    Bill & Judy · litigation ·

We used this Law Firm to settle a case that had been ongoing for many years. We found Sylvina extremely knowledgeable and detailed oriented. What we liked the best was her information that she constantly kept us informed. The outcome of the case was very successful and a huge burden was lifted b y her handling the case. We highly recommend her for any of your legal needs.

  • ★★★★★Dedicated, Compassionate, Efficient

    Jack · family law ·

After 25 years of marriage my ex-wife, an attorney, began divorce proceedings and proposed that we navigate the process without individual representation. I was not comfortable with that suggestion. On the recommendation of another attorney, I hired Ms. Cotto and am extremely pleased with her advocac y on my behalf. She exhibited compassion while providing straightforward advice relating to the issues that arose in my case. I anticipated an easy, amicable divorce but was grateful for Ms. Cotto's knowledge and expertise when things became more contentious. Sylvina had my best interest in mind at all times. She consistently maintained a professional demeanor with me, my ex-wife, opposing counsel and the Court. Despite a busy schedule that likely included much more complicated cases, Ms. Cotto and her staff (particularly her paralegal, Ms. Reyes) communicated fully and efficiently with me throughout the entire process. If you are considering hiring an attorney for your divorce, a consultation with Ms. Cotto is a superb place to start.
