  • ★★★★★Commercial Realestate

    Bryan · litigation ·

I had a realtor try to sue me for a commission that she thought was due to her. I own a few commercial properties and Linda’s loser lawyer tried to become a pain in my ass so I would just pay them to go away . But Kevin kicked there Ass ! I know there is never a guaranteed out come with what you hear on the news about law suits but I was willing to fight it out of principle . We offered this realtor 17,000 dollars to go hide under a rock . And she refused the money and lost on a Summary judgement . And had to pay me $25,000k . Kevin filed the judgment with the county and couple years later she couldn’t sell her house without paying me . There are times I would call Kevin on other matters and he would tell me I shouldn’t sue because I signed the contract even though I thought I was right . So I didn’t . He could have said yeah sue them and take my retainer but he didn’t .

  • ★★★★HOA False Allegations. Animals Involved

    Leslie · real estate ·

It was very difficult for me to post this due to Avvo vetting. Mr. Harper, a talented attorney, seemed like he wasn't going to do anything after I put money down and signed the contract. I am a paralegal with over 15 years of experience. I produced 180 professional level exhibits and did legal resea rch after my neighbor did not want animals next door. I had everything approved and have an excellent reputation for cleanliness over a period of many years. I had to call and confront Mr. Harper because an Answer was not filed. He blamed a computer glitch. I have no choice but to accept that. I was very busy working on a Master's and working. Suddenly I realized a couple weeks before the hearing I had not heard anything. I confronted his office. His paralegal tried to back out of the case at the last minute. He then filed a competent pleading, however, it was deemed much too late and the Court rejected it. He showed up at the hearing and presented one exhibit (more than likely he would have been in trouble if he didn't show.) I am not even sure if that one exhibit was admitted properly. He has no empathy whatsover for the fact that my hands are tied. If I have an attorney, the attorney has to do the presentation, unless I want to cause a big scene before the Court. These HOA cases have become very rough and difficult due to legislation. He could not stomach the challenge. I think he is typical of the Bar here in Arizona. Now that I confronted him and took action I may not have the basis for a Bar complaint, but for malpractice, which will require more down on a malpractice attorney, another suit, etc.

  • ★★★★★Joint tenancy with rights of survivorship

    Earlene · family law ·

I hired Kevin to represent me in a very elongated situation, whereby, I was divorced but I was a joint tenancy owner with rights of survivorship on my house. Needless to say, there was a battle between my ex and I regarding the sale of the house. There was not much in terms of case law regarding join t tenancy with rights of survivorship, however through Kevin’s diligence and persistence, we won my case. I would highly recommend hiring Kevin. He was very professional and kept me abreast of each facet on my case. Kudos, Kevin for a job well done.

  • ★★★★★Manufacturing Rep Contract Dispute

    Jerry · business law ·

Kevin was my attorney on a very difficult contract dispute with a company I represented in Arizona. Since the company wrote the contract terms it was based on Arizona law and I needed to hire an Arizona attorney. I live in the Northeast so I had no one in Arizona to help me. I am extremely grateful t hat I was so fortunate to find Attorney Harper. Our civil case started in Federal Superior Court in Arizona and dragged on for five years because of delaying tactics by the other side. Kevin was finally able to break the logjam by getting the other side to agree to move our case to arbitration. We reached a very satisfactory settlement last year within 3 months of the time that both parties approved arbitration. Kevin was pure gold to deal with for the entire 5 years. He always responded promptly to any of my phone calls and emails, which were frequent. I highly recommend Attorney Kevin Harper. I can't imagine that anyone could have done a better job on my case than he did.
