Brandon is very detail oriented, intelligent and compassionate. He is a great listener and gave me every possible solution that he can do. Note that he's a former state officer and DUI investigator . I hired Kathleen for my DUI case back in 2011. From the very beginning she was always up front and honest with me about the details of my case; she didn't sugarcoat things and she went out of her way to make sure I understood what was happening, the good, bad, and the ugly (She calls this her DUI 101 ). Most important for me was open communication, and I quickly learned that, that was one thing I never had to worry about with Kathleen; whether text, call, or email- she was always reachable. in fact, I have consulted with her on several DUI issues that have come up through the years, not only does she still answer, she still remembers my name and my case details! My case was somewhat complicated, but long story short, I had 5 charges against me, one of which was an extreme DUI. Kathleen got 4 of those charges completely dismissed and the extreme DUI was lessened to a DUI to the slightest degree. This was by far one of the scariest and most confusing times in my life, but Kathleen was there every step of the way and made it much less stressful!

My fiancé and I found ourselves in some legal trouble about a year ago and the charges we had, as well as priors on my record, meant this was not going to be an easy case and the possibility for lengthy prison time was very real. However, the circumstances surrounding the arrest needed to be explored and there were definitely some Fourth Amendment issues that a lawyer needed to look into. Upon hiring Ashlee Weeks, she would not return any calls or emails for a few weeks and when she finally did talk with us she told me that I was definitely going to prison, it was just a matter of "how much time I could live with". I was shocked. She didn't even have any intention of investigating and looking into whether we had a case to fight. It was almost like having a public defender. Ultimately we decided to find a different attorney who would fight for us and do everything possible to not get prison time. After firing her, she charged for every one of the unanswered emails that was sent to her. This firm she was with and Ashlee herself are not about fighting for their clients. We ended up paying almost $7000 for one court appearance, the first one we had, and nothing more other than that horrible phone call with her where she told me I would be going to prison. That is a high price to pay for absolute disappointment. I highly recommend you choose other representation because this one is equal to a public defender and has no intention of actually working to fight for you and your freedom! Oh, and after hiring Jason Lamm, an excellent attorney who actually put the work in and did his job, I ended up with probation. No prison time for me!

If you need a DUI attorney then look no further! I do not say this lightly- Aaron Black has helped me through a terrible experience step by step to make the entire process much easier and gave me peace of mind as well as saved me thousands of dollars. I was recommended to Aaron through a friend whom he previously helped. I had been charged with an extreme DUI and he worked to get it reduced to a simple DUI saving over a thousand dollars in fines. Since the charge was reduced I am looking at a potential 6 months with the ignition interlock instead of 12 months. For each court hearing he had me prepared and walked me through each step so there were no surprises and he handled most of those court appearances himself so I didn’t have to take valuable time off from work. My jail time was reduced from 30 days to 1 as well. Thanks Aaron for all that you have done and for all of the communication throughout the process.

I am extremely happy I hired Aaron. He made a very stressful situation much easier. He laid everything out so I could make the right choice, and really told me how this would all play out based on the facts. He was diligent in getting me the best outcome based on my case. He was always responsive via phone, text and email to answe all my questions. He got my case plead down to the minimum sentence possible. I was facing a super extreme DUI (.35) and ended up with it reduced to regular DUI. My jail time was reduced from 45 days to 1 day, fines reduced by over $2000, and my interlock reduced from 18 months to 6 months (with deferment). I completed all of my dui classes (36 hours) prior to sentencing per his recommendation. With screening and classes completed, jail costs were eliminated ($642). I was traveling from Ohio, so he made sure I knew how everything would happen, that I had a hotel near the court and jail, and that I was comfortable with everything. He is also friendly and has a good sense of humor which is a plus when dealing with something like this. Could not have asked for a better lawyer.

Even though I was guilty of my dui and received mandatory minimums! Aaron was still helpful and respectful throughout the process.
