When my son got his DUI, Scott was assigned as his public defender. Scott managed to get a 120 day jail sentence reduced to 30 days, of which 24 may be house arrest. I will forever be grateful to Scott.

I retained Squires as my attorney in Spring of 2014. He took full control of the case after our initial meeting and the the case was resolved in five months. He does a great job of relieving the stress of facing a legal situation. Throughout the duration of the legal process, he kept me informed of important changes and the progress being made. I am a police officer and I was charged with a crime. A friend recommended attorney Jason Squires. He was helpful and went well beyond the normal attorney to help me with my case. Matthew is a con-artist him self. I contracted Mr. Lopez to help me with a case. Poor judge of character! Represents himself as someone who will handle your case and they care, however, in my opinion, Matthew does not care about his clients, is driven to con his clients like myself out of hard and h onest earned money, only to pay his employees to handle the work for him. Shame on your Matthew Lopez for your lack of integrity, honesty. I will get my money back through Small Claims proceedings and I am preparing a complaint with the Arizona Bar Association. This crooked lawyer needs to be stopped, he will be stopped.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. The attorney was over 30 minutes late to two out of three hearings, which added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Several important matters we discussed were never followed through on, including something as basic as providing my crim inal history when requested. I did not feel that any extra effort was made to pursue the best possible outcome in my case. There was a lack of preparation, communication, and assertiveness in court. For the amount paid — $12,000 for approximately three hours of time — I expected a far higher level of professionalism and advocacy. Choosing a firm because they appear first in a Google search does not guarantee quality representation. I hope others carefully research and ask detailed questions before retaining counsel. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations.

I spoke with Matthew Lopez in December about a disorderly conduct charge he lead me to believe that we could pull the camera footage from the gas station and we would have all sorts of options. I felt like my best interests were served using this law firm. After signing and paying over 3k I was immed iately assigned to Harvey who doesn't return phone calls or emails. While working with Harvey on my case I made it clear my 2nd amendment rights were of upmost importance to me. He basically told me if I completed anger treatment classes I would have my rights back he did not go over the plea agreement in its entirety and left out crucial details such as I would be on unsupervised probation for a year and during that time I wouldn't be able to handle firearms. We were supposed to do a telephonic hearing but was unable to get the required requirements for the court done in time so we decided to go in person for court on Monday, Harvey told me he would arrange everything. On Sunday afternoon less than 24 hours before my court hearing I recieved a email from Harvey stating he had a felon case on Monday he had to go to court for and would be sending another lawyer from the lawfirm. When I showed up to court at 7:30 the security guard stopped me as I wasn't on the list as Harvey never called to setup the in person court appearance. Then the lawyer from the law firm was over an hour late, I called the law firm three different times and was assured someone would call me back to confirm the lawyer was on his way, that never happened. Finally I meet Derrick my new attorney apparently and he asks if Harvey went over the plea agreement which I responded no and he foes the same song and dance never goes over unsupervised probation or my 2nd amendment rights. Then as we are going into court he starts asking people if they need a lawyer seriously giving ambulance chaser vibes. I felt like I was pressured to sign by this law firm and they didn't really care about what I wanted. I asked multiple times on monday to speak with a office manager and was never put into contact with anyone. There is no way to give feedback at this place except with a senior partner and when you fo they drop you. I spoke with a senior partner earlier today and relayed all of this information and was told by him I need to go to the court and file these motions etc and I said look I think I want to get a second opinion and he said that was my right. At 5pm today I recieved a email stating that they had withdrawn as my attorney. I cant begin to describe how badly run this lawfirm is, take it from someone who uses lawyers for the last eight years this has to be the worst chop shop I have ever seen. I will be filling a state bar complaint.

I am not one to write reviews but my experience with Lopez Law inspired me. In my 50 years of driving I had never had an alcohol related mark on my record. I recently received an open container ticket which I later found out to be a criminal offense. Not wanting that on my record I fronted Lopez $4,0 00 to reduce to a traffic ticket or go away. Everything was great, until it wasn’t. On the morning of my day in court “attorney Derek” shoves paperwork for me to sign to plead guilty to the open container charge with a $750 fine- exactly what I could have received had I walked in myself. Zero effort on their part produced zero results for me. Y efforts to contact to negotiate at least a partial refund have been ignored to this point. If at any time prior to the final moments before court they had informed me of my situation I would have had time to make a clear decision. I strongly suggest anyone looking for legit legal counsel look to someone else. Dennis Summers

Caroline's help and service was invaluable in helping me with my DUI case. She truly cared about the outcome and her preparation and diligence was obvious. I had many questions about my pending court case as one might assume, never having run into trouble with the law & living out of state. This was clearly a bother to Michelle and she made me feel like she was not "fighting for me" but simply would reply to the messages she found worthy of her time. In stead of taking the time to calmly reply (to the select messages she found the time for), she reacted in a blunt, bothered way and never once made me feel reassured about my fate. She was very snarky & unprofessional in many of her emails and if I needed clarification on something, she very clearly made me aware of the annoyance this caused her. Look elsewhere, I definitely would have for the money spent and the treatment given during this process.

I hired Michelle for representation for a criminal misdemeanor case. She fought aggressively on my behalf throughout the entire time the case was pending. I ended up going to trial and was extremely impressed by her litigation skills. She destroyed the witnesses that testified and I was found not gui lty. I had two days after being arrested for a DUI to get back into court for my appeal. I called Michelle on a Sunday and she called me back within an hour. The process of waiting for my my police report, meeting with the prosecutors, and then finally getting a court date can seem like forever. Michelle worked as diligently as she could and allowed the process to go much easier. Having an attorney to help and explain things along the way is completely worth it! Doing this alone I would not have accomplished what Michelle did. She reduced my jail time immensely and my fines are a fraction of what they should have been. I'd say hiring her was the best choice I made!

First off ,when an Arizona case come up abd was not going to just be ignored, I began searching for an Attorney that in my opinion was going to prove very challenging. That meant plea to a case completely on The State if Arizona's Terms. Got a call one evening from someone who said we found an at torney you will like. It was Derek Oliverson. I put in the call and within 20 minutes had him on the line and thinking this guy first knew the Law,second also how to practice law in the courtroom. He gave 2 scenarios . Both acceptable if that was the outcomes. After 1st appearance got the call a day after wirh an offer that was in my mind ,,, not even in possible this guy can get that done. Tell you what he did and he was a cannabis case involving seizure of currency in excess and trafficking of cannabis. Charged with interstates money laundering an cannabis felony. I agreed to a deal that dropping the money laundering and cannabis trafficking. I PKEAD TO 1 COUNT misdemeanor cannabis possession. A fine and 10 days in county. Derek is a guy who knows laws from public service side to attorney side. He's up front honest and very personable. He cares . These guys get it done. You will be very comfortable working with any of their attorneys. A DUI is no joke and they make darn sure you know what to expect along the way. Attorney Brian Sloan is the man to go with all your DUI problems. He is super attentive and knowledgeable. I was in a very serious situation with my Super Extreme DUI where I was facing significant jail time, major fines, and a lot more on my plate than I could handle. With his representation I was g iven the best possible plea with my circumstances. I was able to keep my job, keep attending school and overall was awarded less jail time (work release) to maintain my job and was blessed to keep school under my belt. He also managed to lower my fines significantly and provided me with the best outcome in my position.
