- ★★★★★Nice
Henry · litigation ·
I believe she did all anyone could do she was very personable, professional and kind. She knew the laws and was instrumental in finally winning my case,
- ★★★★★Poor service
Stephen ·
Stephanie Lakes office has very poor service and she’s not much better herself I have received very little help from them and almost can’t get them to call me back at all
- ★★★★★Horrible Experience
Adrianne ·
So, the person who owns this law firm, and is the primary attorney, is abusing people with disabilities and treating them like second class citizens. She yells at them, tells them to shut up, mocks them, is late or sometimes doesn't show up for court dates, lost cases because she wasn't prepared, sen t one client's personal information to the wrong person, she sent her mother to represent a client in court because she was to busy, and apparently her mom showed up smelling like booze. She lies to clients, ghosts them for months, sometimes years, you know, good lawyer type stuff, right? The list goes on and on. She also has a temper. I have experienced her rage via phone, and it's nuts. And apparently that's a normal thing for her. She seems unhinged. It's scary to me that she can even be taking these kinds of cases. She shouldn't be dealing with people with disabilities, or anyone for that matter. And especially not with something so important. This is life or death for some people. The last resort. She is dangerous to people who are depending on her and she doesn't care. She takes cases and then does no work on them, and then never updates the clients. She gets hostile anytime anyone asks for an update. She was doing nothing on my case for 4.5 years, and I had no idea. Other than today and yesterday, I hadn't spoken to them since September of 2023. She was my Attorney, up until today. She fired me as a Client because I questioned how she runs her business. I called her out on it and she fired me as a client on the spot, and then hung up. After 4.5 years, I have nothing.
- ★★★★★Rude staff
Candy ·
Staff has been rude to me from the start slow. Don't keep track of paperwork that you send in. They don't send out stuff and they say they do. The attorney cuts you off. Talks to you With no respect, If you try to tell her that her staff has been rude She will say no, they are not.Theyre professional and she'll talk over you and end the call.
- ★★★★★Can't give 0 stars
anonymous ·
She didn't submit testimony timely, didn't subpoena, and didn't check that submissions to SS complete! Most important doctor record never was. No time to meet. Hard to believe she has any wins except maybe quadriplegics?
- ★★★★★Dismissive
anonymous ·
I contacted this office for SSDI guidance and found the experience unprofessional. Questions were dismissed, and I was referred elsewhere abruptly. I would not recommend this office.
- ★★★★★Truth-worthy ad Highly Respected with a Wealth of Knowledge!

Kathryn is professional and is a very experienced attorney! My experience was exceptionally great. She is thorough, diligent and proactively handled all aspects of my case in a timely manner. What mainly strikes me though, is her ability to communicate and keep me involved through every step of th e way. There's nothing that feels better than being in-the-know of what's going on with your case. If you're seeking the best and highly recommended attorney for your disability needs, Kathryn is the one for you! Thank you Kathryn for all that you do!
- ★★★★★A Lawyer and a Friend
Erin ·
Kathryn and her staff at Dicus Disability, LLC were excellent to work with. They promptly communicated with me, returned my calls, and were available when I needed them. Kathryn is experienced and listened to a lot of personal information with kindness. Her advice about the process was accurate and s he gave me honest feedback about my situation.
- ★★★★★A lawyer you can trust ! And that is rare!
Robert ·
I called several lawyers and I needed my questions answered. But they would not answer me in plain easy-to-understand English. I had three lawyers who wanted to take my case. I could not get them to answer my questions. They kept giving me mumbo-jumbo. My mother unexpectedly died in my arms of a hear t attack in April 2022. I was disabled and had not worked in thirty years. I lived with my mom for 57 years. She was divorced and I never married. We were each other's caregivers. She was my best friend. I was frozen with terror as there was no money to take care of myself. I had to sell things I owned and received a loan from a family member. I then received financial aid from D.E.S. programs to help pay my utility bills. This whole time I was stuck for three months feeling very uncomfortable about these other lawyers who gave me disinformation and kept me confused. But they kept sending letters pressuring me to sign their contracts. They treated me like a number instead of a real person who was in extreme grief over losing my mom. So I continued looking for a lawyer and thank you God for letting me see and find Kathryn Dicus. When I called her she answered my legal questions quickly and understandably and I told her that she was the one I wanted to represent me. She was easygoing to talk to. She was honest as I realized that this other lawyer who wanted to represent me had lied to me about the law. I give Katheryn Dicus ten stars!**********
- ★★★★★She's Awesome
MariaJ ·
Kathryn is amazing in what she does. I suffer from Dystonia one of those awful invisible illness that most of doctors never hard of. After 2 years with another company, I found Kathryn Dicus on Avvo and scheduled a consultation tham hired her. The process takes time, the first judge already had made up his mind on mot approve my case so she complained about that judge and they assigned me to another judge. The new judge granted me partial disability award on a illness that has no cure. So I got some back pay for 2015, 2016 and 2017. So Kathryn appealed my case to the Federal court and they reversed the state parcial award and granted me total disability on November 2020. I finally got the rest of the back pay, monthly payment and Medicare insurance. It took Kathryn over 7 years but she worked hard on my case with professionalism and patience. If you need a disability attorney, you would be crazy not to hire Kathryn Dicus.

- ★★★★★Excellent experience with SSD appeal
anonymous · litigation ·
Anna and Leslie have been wonderful to work with in the appeal process. Communication was always timely and clear. The appeal was won due largely to Anna being sure the appropriate records were provided and to her input. Highly recommend.
- ★★★★★Lack confidence
Trena ·
Was my original attorney for my SSDI claim. I couldn’t afford $850 for a physical, the firm could no longer represent me. For this reason, I felt this firm didn’t have the confidence in themselves to be successful in my case. Nevertheless, I able to find another attorney whom did not have this requir ement and my case was won within a couple of months.
- ★★★★★My SSDI CLAIM- NO HELP AT ALL AND LEFT ME HOMELESS
Catherine Gaither ·
At first it seemed as though I was getting the right legal assistance that I needed. I was getting help to attain my own personal SSDI SSI CLAIM. Yet I was scammed by these people. Royaly! It left me homeless and I lost my only underage son! I made police reports but my son was given away..this SSDI CLAIM-started with Anna in 2017 or so. To this day I never received it and desperately need it. I have cancer.. apparently she used me.

I hired Kiel Roeschke right after I had submitted my application. A few months after I received a letter from SSDI that they wanted more specific information about my previous employment. Destiny, Kiel Roeschke's assistant, spent over an hour with me over the phone gathering the information I mis sed in completing my application and submitted it for me. Months later I was denied. Destiny immediately filed for reconsideration. A few months later I received several letters requesting that I go to three different appointments; physical, mental, xrays. All of this was completely overwhelming for me. I emailed Destiny and said I wasn't going to these appointments. She immediately was in touch with Attorney Kiel and I then received a call from him a few hours later. He answered all my questions and explained what the benefit to me could be if I went to all the appointments. He was very professional, spoke a in a manner I could completely understand, and was very kind. He spent as much time with me as I needed to make a decision. Based on our conversation, I made the decision to go to the appointments. I'm glad I did. Within 4 weeks from the last appointment I was awarded disability benefits. I would absolutely recommend Kiel Roeschke for your attorney.
- ★★★★★Great experience and final outcome

From the beginning this firm was extremely professional. They kept great contact with me throughout my case and helped me prepare for the meeting with the administrative law judge before the meeting so I knew what to expect. I would recommend this firm wholeheartedly to anyone who asked my advice. Th anks for a great job and a painless process!
- ★★★★★Simply Incredible, Patient, Empathetic and a RARE find
Jamie ·
Kiel, Handled my disability case from 2017 to 2020. I can honestly say, I was not the best client. I was suffering financially, mentally and all the education on disability was overwhelming. Kiel was a lifesaver. He handled my case and won, but it was more than winning. He was nurturing, respectf ul, followed up on my insurmountable questions beyond and reasonable expectations and I am genuinely forever grateful. Kiel is not only a sound human being, but he is also incredible intellect and follows thru. Appreciation is underestimated. I am forever grateful to him and his team. Simply the best.
- ★★★★★Fully Favorable Decision
George ·
Peter was very professional and helped me in my SSDI case. Also, Sydney, my case manager, always answered my questions. It took awhile for my case, but thankfully it was a fully favorable decision. I strongly recommend Kiel Roeschke.
- ★★★★★Best Law Firm Ever
Kathy ·
Kiel was wonderful, I started with Kiel. My case was reassigned to Peter. Cori worked hard and was amazing throughout the process, finding doctors that I couldn't remember their names, just fields of expertise or sometimes just buildings they worked in. I thank goodness for Peter Canova at this fi rm who took my case. He is patient, kind, perfect gentleman and genius at what he does (Disability Attorney with Roeschke Law). When I'd go off track, and I did many times 'cause my mind spins out or I forget and freeze up) Peter got us back on track and carried us. I think only Peter could have done what he did as great as Peter did. Cool, calm, collected against the challenges of my memory and all. Thank you Kiel, Cori and Peter from the bottom of my heart for taking my calls, keeping me on track and being so kind and courteous and ... did I mention they are all the best of the best! The way my case evolved I could not keep up but Cori and Peter did. I also really love and respect a lawyer who says, "Tell the truth about everything." And I did and I remind you all you have to, you are under oath. But hopefully we all would anyway. But for a lawyer to say the evening before "Tell the truth" and remind you you're under oath, that's respectable and then some. You know you have a good lawyer when that's emphasized. Every single person I worked with here is fair, honest and brilliant!
