I highly recommend Ron Thomas. He did a fantastic job representing me. I was very nervous about this emotional process but Ron calmed me down and explained everything to me and made sure that I understood everything. He was patient with me. He answered all my questions, he responded quickly to all my calls and emails, even on the weekend or in the evenings. He followed up and made sure I was aware of what the next step was as we went through the legal process. Everything went exactly as I wanted it to. I was very impressed. The judge could find nothing wrong with my case. It went very quickly, just as he promised me it would. Ron provided great service to me and he treated me with respect. Shortly within our first conversation I knew I was in good hands and had a Lawyer that was knowledgeable and had my best interests at heart. He always explains every thing very clearly. Ron was always available and when he couldn't answer the phone he was back to me within a very short period of time. Always the same day and usually within the hour. We had a horrible experience working with Riley Law. It was a simple QDRO and it took a full year to complete. A couple of 401ks and IRAs to split ...12 months. It was all due to a lack of internal action on this firm. Nothing was contested, they just needed to drive it forward and they absolutely di d not. Now we did have some questions and objections early on in the process - that added a few months of delay likely. But really the source of the delay was not that we had questions, clarifications, etc. it was that each time we asked for an explanation or clarification, it would take his office 3-4 weeks to get back to us. We had the court order - all they had to do was drive the process and they failed to. There was no initial meeting where they sat us down and told us what to expect, which is where the majority of our questions would have been addressed. They were hired in Nov. 2024. I believe it was the summer of 2025 before they got this into the hands of the judge. The judge took several months to sign - not their fault. But they then dragged their feet getting the papers to the financial institutions to execute them. After months of us complaining they did finally assign someone to manage our case and they got better with communications around late summer. But they let the financial institutions sit on the orders for months and didn't really push them hard until the end. A full 12 months for something that should have taken 6 at most, and that's allowing for normal bank and judicial delays. Horrible experience, and I say this in full fairness to the normal delays one would expect in this type of proceeding.

After almost 7 months and $60,000 wasted I fired my attorney who was absolutely horrible. Stressed and frustrated I was referred to Mervyn Braude. After meeting with him I felt much more at ease. Although the process was daunting Mervyn kept his word and was professional throughout the process. Anxio us and unsure about the legal process Mervyn would counsel me on what motions needed to be filed and which ones were simply a waste of money. He actually cares about his clients and combine that with his vast experience I feel that the results (although no divorce process is fun) were the best that they could be. I would highly recommend both Mervyn and his firm. He was always available to me whether on the weekend or in the evening, whether it was something important or just to put my mind at ease. Most importantly when opposing counsel and judges see that Mervyn is involved they tended to take it far more seriously than with my previous attorney which led to a quicker and more professional resolution.
