She doesn’t seem to understand the needs of her clients and seems Intimidated and judgmental by what allegations opposing counsel make on her clients . She questions me in a judgmental way on allegations leveled by opposing counsel and quotes ethics as a reason to withdrawal from counsel . It almost felt like defending myself to my own lawyer and literally had to explain myself to her about the false accusations. Terrible service for 400$/hr .

I fired Lisa as my attorney in my divorce. I do not believe she has the experience or personality to be an effective divorce attorney. I realized during the discovery phase that she simply was not aggressive enough with opposing counsel. After losing confidence in her, I hired an aggressive attorney to finish my divorce which finally settled at ADR. My petition even had to be amended because of her negligence. Now that my divorce is final, I am glad that I found a better attorney that helped me get the best settlement possible. Even if your case seems straightforward, just remember that no one knows how the opposing party/counsel will respond after you file for divorce. Best of luck in finding a better attorney!

Not only was Lisa intimidated by the court room setting, the judge, and the defendant… We learned that she even filed the wrong papers and sent the other party the wrong information. She’s a little too green to be practicing law and doesn’t have the experience when a client really needs it. With as much money as she charges and the fact that it directly impacts a family and children, I would encourage you to go somewhere else.

I contacted Cantor Law Firm because of their overall high regard in Arizona and I was assigned Mr. Cohen as my attorney. We had a fairly long and detailed consultation on the telephone and he gave me his advice on how he would represent me. My ex-wife was using COVID as an excuse not to see my chil dren and a few silly stipulations that were included in the initial parenting plan. Mr. Cohen was a bulldog for me! He told me that we could file contempt against my ex-wife because of her failure to follow the parenting plan. I "won" my case and got everything I wanted. My ex partner was increasingly difficult and our situation became contentious fast. Travis was my second lawyer and the first counsel had encouraged me to settle and take whatever I could get since it was hard to prove the toxicity of the situation my son and I had been living in. I had a divorce case previously handled by two other attorneys. I was not happy with many aspects of the court order or the ongoing custody and court order violations from my ex-wife. Michael compiled a tremendous amount of supporting documentation, worked with her attorney try not going back to co urt and ultimately got me nearly everything I was after (e.g. increased parenting time, enforced accountability for custody violations through a parenting coordinator, child moved to school of my choice and several other items). Michael represented me in a child support case that was rather complicated (in my opinion but not his). I have an ex-husband who owed me nearly 25K in back child support from an old order that was no longer in effect now that we had 50/50 custody. After 2 years of getting along and splitting the ki ds equally my ex decided he wanted me to pay him child support for our two kids since I was now earning more than him (he still owed the 25K and we still had 50/50 custody) and he not only wanted a significant amount of money but he wanted to be "paid back" for every minute that he had the kids or fed them or drove them somewhere that happened during my parenting time time. Keep in mind I have a job, he did not and it was by his own choice to avoid paying the arrears. So confused by what was happening I sought Michael's advice based on the referral of a friend and he explained the laws surrounding the circumstances and gave me a best and worst case scenario. Throughout the entire process I always felt informed of where we were and he never put up with nonsense from my ex and I never had to deal with it at all. The relief of knowing that I was in good hands and could go on with my life while Michael took care of this situation was worth far more than anything I paid him. I didn't have to engage emotionally, or stress out, or spend hours figuring out how to compile and respond to documents. I didn't even participate in the negotiations that were attempted before we went before the judge, Michael knew what I wanted and he was more than capable of fighting that battle without me having to deal with getting upset trying to deal with an irrational ex-husband. The end result was great, the case laid out before the judge was clear and concise and he highlighted the greed and irrational demands my ex-husband was making. The judge's decision is one I am happy with and I would definitely use Michael again.
