I have been a paying client for several months, and while I appreciate and respect Jay's knowledge on the subject of student loans, I am very frustrated at the poor response time (or complete lack of response) for his staff. I hadn't heard anything in several months, and tried to make contact only to eventually find out that the person I was writing to no longer worked there. His assistant Beth is always profusely apologetic, but is also not very responsive. I don't know what's going on, but it's no way to run a professional practice. I would recommend Jay as an attorney in theory because he has a lot of knowledge, but his support staff are doing him a disservice by being unresponsive.

I have never regretted consulting a lawyer, and this is especially true of Jay. His knowledge of the shifting sands of student loan repayment is forensic. The icing on the cake is he is a compassionate human, dedicated to helping people out of the pit. I've met with him three times over the past 8 y ears and it is always a pleasure. I you are having financial and/or student loan overwhelm, Jay shines a light in the dark places! I highly recommend him.

I thought the consultation was very informative and really helped me put my mind at ease. Student debt can feel over bearing, Mr. Fleischman helped me see it in perspective.

As another reviewer said, Jay has the knowledge. However, his staff is very poor on responding to phone calls and emails. I have been overcharged since May. I brought it to his attention in August, and I still have not received my refund. Their mailing address is also a mail carrier center, thus n o physical law office to visit. Looking for a virtual lawyer that is knowledgeable but his billing dept overcharges with no apology and not respond, then call Jay.

Jay was critical in helping me considerably to get onto the right path with managing my large student loan debt. I went from feeling overwhelmed to feeling like I could get things under control. Jay projected knowledge, confidence and a sense of compassion; attributes I found very comforting in my situation.
