  • ★★★★★LIFESAVER!!!!!!! PROTECTS MY CHILDREN LIKE THEY WERE HER OWN!!

    Jonathan · family law ·

Mechelle Faulk has been my attorney since 2012. Through a contentious divorce, and still ongoing battle to keep my children safe, Mechelle has worked tirelessly on behalf of my family! Mechelle is intelligent beyond belief, kind, caring, and real. My family would not be where we are today without her dedication to the best interest of my children! Mechelle has been a Godsend to my family, and I cannot even use words to accurately describe how invaluable she has been... All I can say is that, to me, Mechelle is a gift from God. I trust her with mine, and my children's lives. Best lawyer in Colorado, hands down!!!!

  • ★★★★★Cool headed and morally sound professional during a difficult period

Mechelle Faulk and her team were great during a difficult divorce and provided me excellent representation. She avoided getting into unproductive "mud" slinging and isolated the children as much as possible. I should've headed her advice more than I did, she provided excellent advise with a moral a nd ethical focus, something that is lost many times in todays world.

  • ★★★★Litigious-more than meets the eye

Mechelle has a nice profile on her firm’s webpage. The reviews seemed good, and a friend of a friend referred me to her, so I thought that I was on solid footing going through a very difficult and tricky, but seemingly amicable, divorce. However, after the typical early recitals, something changed with Mechelle. I think that she learned that my ex and I had a fair amount of assets and she wanted to pad her billing sheet. She got increasingly more aggressive, which I think put pressure on my ex’s opposing counsel. Suddenly, we stopped making progress with my ex. The process started getting drawn out, when it should have involved conversation with everyone’s counsel looking out for their client’s best interest. I became uncomfortable and asked a few questions, and Mechelle became curt and defensive. Suddenly, she stopped communicating with me. However, then she petitioned for what I thought were weird things. The bills started stacking up, and I was trying to make sense of it all, when I did a deeper dive into Mechelle. There are holes in her employment, a dissolved law firm, a few shoddy appellate court cases, and negative reviews from Avvo that seem to have disappeared (scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to the first page of Avvo reviews). And, it seems like she has paid a lot of money to scrub her reputation from Google. Once I read up on Mechelle, her behavior (though inconsistent and all over the place) made sense. However, once I had this knowledge there wasn’t much that I could do because I thought that I would look bad changing lawyers. So, I contacted my ex privately and we made much more progress with a conversation than I had for several months working with Mechelle. Working together behind the scenes without Mechelle in the equation helped us finally settle our divorce. I can’t honestly recommend Mechelle and I am glad to have this in the rear view mirror. I recommend that anyone considering Mechelle spend some time looking into her. I hope that this review helps others. There are several good lawyers out there-it pays to dig deep

  • ★★★★★Extremely intelligent, professional, committed and tenacious

    Norman · family law ·

Mechelle represented me in a very complicated divorce and child custody case, in which my children were at risk of being moved out of state. If you aren't familiar with family law and child custody as it pertains to the state of Colorado, we had an uphill battle. But as a result of Mechelle's outst anding work, perseverance and tenacity, the court ruled in our favor and in the best interest of the children, allowing them to stay in Colorado, and granting joint custody. It was a very difficult and trying case, but Mechelle always maintained a 'can win' attitude and was very supportive, because she absolutely believed it was the right thing to do for the children. Mechelle was very thorough, always well-prepared and steadfast in working through my situation. Her team was also outstanding, very efficient and extremely professional. I would highly (and only) recommend Mechelle Faulk to fight for your family.

  • ★★★★★Excellent representation

Having been referred to Ms. Faulk by a friend who also retained her as an attorney, I was impressed with her professionalism upon our initial consultation. She listened carefully to me and explained the process of divorce thoroughly. I was pleased with her very clearly defined recommended course of a ction and retained her. She brought diplomacy to my nasty divorce and kept me calm during the process. She facilitated our Parenting Plan, Child Support, Separation Agreement and later walked me through the Protection Order that became necessary. After settling the intitial divorce matters, she also came back on board to help settle a custody dispute several years later. Without her guidance, I might have naively settled outside of court. Ms. Faulk kept me informed each step of the way and never made any promises about what would or would not happen. However, she was dead on when she said how the court would 'likely' rule. Her experience within the court system brought me great confidence and her knowledge of law put to rest the weak legal threats I was receiving from the defendant. I would hire Ms. Faulk again if necessary.
