I spoke with several different lawyers before hiring one. Some made promises, some told me I was going to prison if I did not cut them a huge check. The whole thing was almost re traumatizing over the trauma of my arrest in the first place. It was a relief to find a straight shooter who didnt hide the ball or tell me a bunch of crazy things were or were not going to happen. In the end, my case resolved nicely.
