Before I worked with Steve, I was informed the process of my case may take months on end. After consulting with and hiring Steve we were able to receive a no contest and win the case in about a month. I was super impressed with his effectiveness and diligence. FINRA is tough to deal with no matter ho w you spin it, but Steve was able to be in contact with them on a frequent basis. I was beyond happy with how Steve worked the case and was equally as happy with the result.

Lawsuits can be upsetting, for obvious reasons. Stephen and his partner, Patrick did a first rate job of not only securing a 100% successful outcome for my matter, but [critically] walking me through the process at every step: what to expect, how to handle it, when I needed to do some homework and wh en it was better to sit back and wait for the process to play itself out via our legal system. Even though my case was probably not the largest matter that Stephen has ever handled, in terms of the sums at stake, I still felt that I was receiving his full care and attention as a client. It's also clear to me from this process that it's not a always a given that legal teams have their clients best interests at heart. With Stephen I never had any doubt that he was looking out for me and my interests, above all else. Attorney Bourtin successfully represented me in an employment case. I highly recommend his services for some of the following reasons. He is very knowledgeable and exhibits expertise in his field. Counselor Bourtin was easy to reach when needed, promptly responding to questions, concerns, both by p hone, email, and/or text. Despite the glowing reviews, Lauren Jacobson's legal representation was a huge disappointment. For almost a year, all we saw was a huge number of "filings" and no results. What should have been a straightforward lawsuit became a maze of questionable legal maneuvers which appeared to have no purpose b ut to extend the litigation and charge us for it. She once even increased her hourly fee and never bothered to even mention it to us. No rapport with us, only legal bills. Would not recommend her legal help.

Ms. Jacobson was helpful to me in a difficult situation. She explained the most realistic options to me in a calm manner and helped me draft correspondence to resolve my situation. Although my situation was not resolved 100% to my satisfaction that not the fault of Ms. Jacobs but is a result of the l egal structure. She did explain what was most possible and realistic. Now that I see Ms. Jacobson also does estate planning I may hire her for that in the future.
