After receiving a DUI, I was very nervous and uninformed about the process. Mr. Akulian did a great job of setting my expectations, explaining the entire process, and was an overall solid support through a confusing process. Mr. Akulian was extremely responsive, taking less than 4-6 hours to respond to any email communication. Even after my initial court appearances, Mr. Akulian has been as helpful and responsive as he was at the onset of my case. Mr. Akulian's pricing is extremely fair and he does not push you into anything you don't need or don't want. I would recommend his services to others with alcohol related infractions.

I was arrested and charged with unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition in Washington DC. This occurred in a federal building. It was a nightmare and I thought I was doomed. David Akulian ‘Not Guilty in DC’ was one of my three final choices for a lawyer. I ultimately went with David be cause in person he displayed what his bio stated. He asked many questions during the consult and looked up things as we spoke. He left the impression that he was very experienced, there was hope and that he was going to fight for me. It was pretty scary writing the check for the retainer, not knowing how good your lawyer really is. My case went on for seven months and there were many court appearances that I had to go to. You spend a lot of time in the courtroom waiting before your case is called. During that time you can listen to various US prosecutors and other people’s lawyers. David seemed to present himself in court better than any of the other lawyers I heard. The US prosecutors were out for blood, so my case ended up in front of a jury. It was during the actual trail that it became apparent just how effective David was. He had more tricks up his sleeve than the prosecutor. David was very good with the jury to. The jury’s verdicts were the same as the sign on David’s office door! I would not hesitate to use David Akulian ‘Not Guilty in DC’. I felt David Akulian gave me his absolute best effort.

Mr. Ahmed was retained for my friend who was subject to an unwarranted search of his vehicle. Without being too detailed, it was a case of police harrassment/profiling. I hired Sweta Patel for a DUI that occurred last year. Not only was Ms. Patel honest and optimistic about the outcome, although this had not been my first offense, she was also caring about the conditions that caused this incident. Ms. Sweta Patel represented me for a distribution of controlled substance charge in Washington DC and was able to get the felony drug case dismissed with a diversion program so I will not have a conviction on my record.
