I recently sustained a serious injury to my shoulder after slipping and falling at my workplace. Along with medical treatment I knew I needed legal advice as well, but since I had never been seriously injured at work before I didn't know where or to whom I should turn to for help. During my random internet search for an attorney I came across the Donahoe- Kearney website. The website was very informative and seemed to speak to all of my questions and concerns. I was so impressed that I contacted Frank Kearney for an appointment. Both Venessa and Brooke, Frank's staff, were very kind, supportive and professional as they lead me thru the preliminary interview process, and set up my appointment. From the very beginning my association with Frank Kearney concerning my injury has been marked by these two most striking attributes: #1-- Frank Kearney has taken ownership. He has made my problem ; his problem. #2-- Competence. His experience, focus and confidence is impressive. Frank is a winner. I would highly recommend the Donanhoe Kearney Law firm to anyone seeking representation in a workman's compensation claim. I am very grateful for all of Frank Kearney's efforts on my behalf.

This review is long overdue as it has been a few months since my case was settled. Nonetheless, I hope that it helps someone. Though I have a long story as it relates to my injury, I will keep it short — just know Mr. Kearney and his team were with me the entire duration. lock step. I was injured at work about ~8 years ago. My case was longer than many. During those eight years I went through every tactic you could think of from the various insurance companies and adjusters who handled my case. During those eight years, WC insurance found reasons to deny a treatment, or to not pay my benefits, or to make me wait 6 months for a hearing to only agree with our demands the day of (which happened on 2-3 occasions), and everything in between. Their goal is to make an already bad situation even worse. At times they succeeded. However, Mr. Kearney kept fighting for me and never budged. Even when things would become overwhelming and I wanted to quit, he remained calm and consistent while encouraging me to push forward. His tenacity resulted in a settlement that I had honestly almost lost hope on. That is what you get with Mr. Kearney. He is a known and respected entity in the world of injured persons/workers. Opposing counsel knows him and when they greet him you can sense the respect they have for him. Same goes for judges; he knows them, like really knows them. If you need someone to truly fight for you while keeping your best interest paramount, look no further. It is honestly a no-brainer. If he agrees to take you on as a client, jump at it. You will not find more competent, prepared, personalized, experienced, honest, and compassionate representation in the DC area. I went out of my way to thank Mr. Kearney and his team as much as I could while he represented me and am happy to have the pleasure of thanking him again, on a public forum, while encouraging anyone who has been hurt to make Donohoe-Kearney your first call. I hope it will also be your last. I pray everyone gets healthy and receives what they are due. Again, huge thanks to Mr. Kearney and his team, who I must add treat you like family and stay on top of the things you might not even know need staying on top of. The whole team is top-notch.

I highly recommend hiring the Donahoe Kearney law firm to anyone who is suffering with workman's compensation dilemmas. Frank, Priscilla, Brooke and even the receptionists are all wonderful with answering questions, easing apprehension, and allowing you to be part of the process. Priscilla updated me through weekly phone calls and constant emails. It was important to feel like the staff was working for my benefit and I felt that with this team. They truly excelled with their services! They succeeded in getting me the treatment that I deserved and handled the case with professionality and purpose! I wish everyone the best of luck and hope your experience with this team is just as good as mine was! Mohamed Abodour

David Schloss of Koonz, McKenney, Johnson, DePaolis and Lightfoot was my attorney. My case was a difficult one that covered my Workmen’s Comp, Social Security Disability and the Navy Yard shooting. David is an awesome lawyer. The way he handled all of my issues was outstanding. He took his time t o explain every detail to me and made sure I understood everything that was going on in my case. He is a knowledgeable, respectable and kind person. I was a crybaby at times, because of what I went through and he was right by my side in my time of need. He was my lawyer but over the years he became my friend and I sincerely thank him for all he has done. I also am thankful for Kasey Murray and Suzy Kelly and their acts of knowledge and kindness. Kasey worked with David on my case and she made sure I was aware of what was happening and when it was going to happen. Suzy was always nice, polite and helpful and kept the details straight at all time. These three individuals played a big part in my case and I thank them for a JOB WELL DONE!

He took time to answer my questions and made the legal process understandable. He tirelessly examined every detail, which allowed me to focus on healing and recovery. He was courteous and professional throughout, and never lost focus on my needs. I could not have achieved the outcome without his r epresentation. I can now start to think about moving forward for the first time since my accident. He gave me my life back.

I highly recommend David Schloss, my attorney with the law firm Koonz, McKenney, Johnson, DePaolis & Lightfoot. In short, he did an amazing job pursuing restitution for many people impacted by the Washington Navy Yard shooting. It was a difficult case. Many lives were lost, many injured, by a gunm an. All needed help to recover from this horrible tragedy. David never flagged in his quest. It took five years, but he never stopped caring and working on our behalf. David did an excellent job keeping me informed throughout the process – always kind, respectful, and clear. He always valued my time and perspective. He never tired of explaining procedures and legal nuances in a way I could understand. He was always discret e, honest, and squarely on my side. He always had my best interests at heart. David Schloss gives lawyers a good name! I would also like to note the contributions of Kasey Murray and Suzy Kelley. Ms. Murray was beyond patient stepping me through the retelling of my experience. In addition to being highly competent and clear about the law, she was always kind. Ms. Kelley kept all the details straight and was so helpful keeping me on track. Small acts of consideration are always appreciated when a person is under great stress.
