David guided our family with Medicaid qualification for my sister who suffered a traumatic brain injury and other physical injuries in a traffic accident and could no longer live alone. We were referred to him by a judge who goes to our church. We were directed by hospital social workers to appl y for Medicaid but denied. No one at the Department of Family Services helped except to talk about food stamps. In our first meeting with David, he knew exactly why the Medicaid was denied and immediately guided us to Medicaid programs that could allow my sister to live at home with caregiver assistance covered by Medicaid. We wasted valuable time speaking with other lawyers who kept pointing us in the wrong direction. We learned that Medicaid is more complicated then we were first told but he and his staff couldn't be more helpful. It was a year long process because of waiting lists. Had we first started with David rather then another attorney, we could have qualified sooner.

David helped our parents, dad 84 and mom 83, qualify for Medicaid after our father had a stroke. We were told by a discharge planner at the hospital to find a nursing home, not to much else. My financial advisor referred me to David to help sort out what we needed to know about his Medicare benefit s and whether they could qualify for nursing home Medicaid.
