  • ★★★★★The BEST decision I made this year

    Jacqueline · employment law ·

I have many experiences dealing with attorneys over a variety of situations. Hands down Mr. Caffarelli is the BEST. From the beginning of the process to the final negotiations Mr. Caffarelli was professional, respectful and very helpful in guiding me through the labor laws in Chicago. Coming from a place of “starting over” I stand on a solid foundation thanks to the settlement and excellent work he did representing me. My case may only represent a small factor in what I am sure is a very busy office so I also wish to acknowledge his excellent team. Every phone call, email or inquiry was treated with courtesy and professionalism equal to Mr. Caffarelli’s delivery. My case was handled with fast and efficient case management. None of the long periods of silence or any of the other typical delays when dealing with attorneys. Thank you again.

  • ★★★★★Achieved More Than I Expected

    Richard · employment law ·

I retained Caffarelli & Associates to represent me in my action against my former employer, where I served as general counsel, and against its chief executive officer personally. Over the course of the approximately two years Alex Caffarelli represented me, it became very clear that he knows his way around employment law. As a practicing lawyer for more than 40 years, I was surely not the easiest client to deal with, but Alex listened, took my comments into account, was respectful and responsive - almost always the same day. My expectations in arbitration were not that great against my former employer that was represented by a large law firm, but my award exceeded $1 million, including all the penalties available to me under Illinois employment law. By no means was this result assured or even likely. Alex handled the two day hearing very well, and our post-hearing briefs were timely filed and persuasive. I've hired and worked with many lawyers in my time and know very well how to evaluate them, and Alex is right that at the top of the list.

  • ★★★★★A Calm, Reassuring, Knowledgeable and Tenacious Counsel

I had always enjoyed an upwards trajectory on my career path. With a change in CEO (I had gone through two other CEO changes prior to this with no career disruption), I was suddenly informed that my resignation was requested immediately and my severance rights, clearly written in HR policy and alway s followed by the company, were not going to be honored. No cause issues at all. I was referred to Alex for assistance; he dropped everything and helped me through those first few grueling days, providing guidance, counsel, reassurance and legal expertise that resulted in the company honoring the severance agreements within HR policy. Several months later the new CEO again tried to bully me into a resignation again, and Alex stepped in and protected me once again. The company is now honoring the severance agreement written in HR policy. I've learned over the years that a good lawyer not only knows the law, but knows how to read the individual situation and acts as counselor and advisor as well. Alex is all of those. He's not only a great lawyer and counselor, but I've made a new friend along the way. I've recommended him to several of my associates who have since found themselves in similar situations with the new CEO....imagine that, I'm not the only one!

  • ★★★★★Great attorney!

    Darren · employment law ·

Mr. Caffarelli assisted me through a horrible experience with a former employer who fought me every step of the lawsuit process. His professionalism, knowledge, and work ethic showed that it is possible for a single individual (myself) can get justice even against a large company. He walked me throug h every step of the process from depositions to trial to settlement with a positive outcome at each step. I would recommend him to anyone with a need for an attorney.

Mr. Cafferelli was very professional, yet friendly on our first meeting. He listened to me and asked questions, then explained how things would work in my case. Even though my case probably wasn't that big of a deal for him, he never treated me like it was frivolous. If you are looking for a great at torney, then this is the fellow to see.
