Sucker-punched with a totally out-of-the-blue lawsuit, for a techno-tard like me, I was totally lost. I barely knew what "bit torrent" was! I recently received a notice of Subpoena from my ISP alleging copyright infringement from Strike 3 holdings. I realized that I was going to need an attorney to handle this and I began searching for lawyers specializing in this type of defense. As there were none near my area in Virginia, I reached o ut to the Antonelli law firm for a free consultation about my case. Jeff took the time to explain my options with one of them being ignore the subpoena (which makes him no money). We discussed my financial circumstances and he gave me an estimate he thought my case might settle for (with no guarantees of course). He did not pressure me to sign with him right away and gave me the time to think things through which I appreciated. I also consulted with another prominent attorney in this field. That attorney told me that the estimate given to me by Jeff was not at all realistic and I would likely have to settle for over $600 per title. He said I needed to sign with him in the next two days on an hourly rate (not flat fee) arrangement to ensure my identity stayed private. It was hard to know who to believe in this situation, but I trusted my gut and went with the Antonelli Law Firm. I had two more calls with Jeff before finally coming on board as a client to settle my case on a flat fee arrangement. We worked together to present my financial picture in the best way to get a good settlement. The case settled in a few weeks for an amount a good bit lower even than the estimate Jeff had initially given me. I am so glad I chose this firm. Jeff helped get me out of a jam and I recommend him highly to others who find themselves in a similar situation.
