I am recently divorced and while it was done it about 1 year, it was difficult for many reasons. Patrick walked me through the process with patience and checked on me even when he didn’t have to. To start - I consulted Patrick for my divorce and he made me feel comfortable from our first meeting. He made it very clear from our first meeting that the law was on my side, and guess what? It was and turned out exactly like he said it would. And what I mean by that is that the scenario he laid out in our first meeting is exactly how my divorce turned out. I hired Patrick for over 18 months and he and his staff were responsive the whole time. Jackie R. was very calm and kind over the phone, and my dealings with his associates were very professional and accurate. My ex contested many issues with our divorce, mostly including money, and Patrick's dealings with her attorney were forceful but also kind. He made it clear that he was all the way on my side and also the one who was in control of the situation. We went through private mediation with a retired judge who Patrick had a working relationship with and that made me very comfortable during the actual mediation session. It was clear to me that he had been doing this for many years and had relationships with the people making the decisions in these types of cases. Patrick is knowledgeable about the entire process too. I just finished my refinance this week, and Patrick was available for questions I had along the way. He guided me through the whole thing - before I had been served, immediately after I had been served, through the private mediation, and all the way into pre-trial, which is when we ended up settling. I felt like I was guided very well throughout the process. Lastly, the most important thing I think about from my experience is that it really did end up exactly like Patrick said it would. He is very knowledgeable about the law and has the experience to know what to expect, and has the relationships to get you to your destination. I'm sure he'll do a great job for you too.

Patrick helped me deal with an international "custody" and parenting case. The situation was quite complicated dealing with European vs American laws. It was a pretty black and white situation legally, but the US judge wasn't seeing it that way. Patrick started with the same claim from the very begin ning, knew the laws better than the 3 judges we had, and in the end, his very first petition that was written for me was essentially what was granted. It unfortunately took us 1.5 years to get a ruling, but that was beyond Patrick's control. He is communicative, values confidentiality, uses modern technology and is prompt with delivering results. I never waited more than 24 hours for anything to post to my file. I never met Patrick in person; we did everything via phone and email and I seriously cannot recommend someone else. I was highly satisfied with his services and the team that works alongside him to make everything happen. The opposing counsel was really trying to "pull some fast ones" or change things around to better her case and Patrick really seemed unphased by the games and just continued to represent me in the best light and himself as well. I think in the end this really helped my case and I also got the verdict I wanted. I receive child support and was not required to relocate. You won't be disappointed with Patrick.

I was put in contact with Mr Markey via a former employee of his. After meeting him, I made the decision to move forward and have him represent me in my divorce proceeding. In short, I was happy with the long term outlook of the divorce. Altough in the short term I was a bit disappointed, but I under stand that there is a little give and take in these matters. But overall, he kept me abreast of the situation, was available whenever I needed to speak or correspond with him and provided excellent representation at the hearing.
