I agree with what another poster mentioned. Initially Josh promises that he will do everything in his power to win your case, but unfortunately, its more talk than action. Once hired, he is not very responsive nor listens to client concerns. I hired him to be represented in a child support enforcem ent case/discovery of assets. I had several requests at our initial consult and months later, it was as if Josh did not listen at all during our meeting. I specifically requested a different judge and other clear cut requests. Joshua pretty much repeated the work my previous lawyer did. Court dates were changed and I wasn't made aware. I would email him and he wouldn't get back with me in a timely matter. Most recently he called me 2 days before a court hearing to discuss issues that should have been discussed weeks prior. If you're a single parent with limited income, I would avoid at all costs. I paid him $500 to be represented and also did a lot of research on my own. Its almost a year later and there has been no progress on my case. He also withdrew from my case recently, due to me complaing to the bar assocation about his neglect on my case. So I am out $500 and in the same position I was a year ago.

So my 8 year old moved to Florida 7 years ago. And my sons mom only let me have him a few months a year. But thanks to Joshua I now to get to see my son alot more even after court when my sons mom potentially violated the newly enforced custody order he went out of his way to inform her to comply! He has been our sons biggest advocate and he treated us like family. My wife and I will 10000% be keeping him as our family lawyer. I would highly recommend him he is very big on father rights.

he tells you what you want to hear in the beginning, about how everything is going to be resolved because you have a strong case, and then waits until the day before your suppression hearing to offer prosecution a plea, gets you to sign said plea in under 20 minutes (by end of business day) before co urt, tells you nothings going to stop you from getting what you signed for in the pleas which turns out to be bs and you plea to ALL 6 charges, none dropped and instead of house arrest, a prison sentence. I do NOT recommend. if he doesn't have every dime of your money before your sentencing he will drop you the week before. POOR WORK ETHIC

Brooke seems extremely competent, but do not be fooled. She will keep you on the phone to increase the costs as well as charge for revisions of documents even when they are due to errors on the law office. Another thing to watch out for are multiple incorrect filings which also adds to the bill. Her performance in the court room setting was disappointing as she was repeatedly pushed around by opposing counsel. All the monies spent felt wasted. If I had known what I know now, I would have never hired her. I would highly recommend seeking different counsel for representation. Hopefully this helps others in doing so.

I had Brooke Bernhardt as an attorney and it was the absolute worst representation (if you can call it that) she missed a court date and didn't tell me, never got in contact with me except to ask for more money. I wasted my entire retainer fee for an attorney that was more worried about her social li fe than my case. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Brooke did absolutely NOTHING for me. I was leaving a very abusive marriage where my child was taken from me. I had to make a gofundme to pay the retainer. She didn’t even show up for my court date and sent Zach instead and he knew nothing about my case. She took advantage of a young mother who was d esperate to get her child back. Its absolutely disgusting.

I hired Brooke for a highly complex divorce/custody case involving removal of children from the state, and other uncertainties. Brooke ended up winning the case and getting me full-custody with me being a single father. Throughout the case, Brooke showed an excellent ability to use legal remedies eff ectively and strategically. Brooke also displayed superior communication and negotiation skills when communicating with the opposing party's counsel, the court, or any other parties involved. Brooke showed high level of client dedication by promptly responding to my inquiries or sharing information regarding important and time sensitive issues including on evenings and weekends. Overall, Brooke went above and beyond and won a case that I would describe as very difficult and highly complex by all standards. I have written several reviews about Terry, but he has helped me tremendously and I cannot thank him enough. One time years ago I had to go to traffic court for suspended license and expired registration. I knew that they were going to make an example out of me. In court, I see Terry. I offered him $ 200 to represent me. I give him the ticket, and he asks me if I see the cop. He heads to where the cops wait. I didn't see Terry anymore. The judge calls out my name, I stand in front of him. He looks at me and says, "you're free to leave". I was shocked! I got out of their in a hurry, before I could thank Terry. Terry is smart and knows the system well. I still can't believe how he handled that so well, on the fly. Thanks Terry!

THIRD DUI in less than a year, yes you read that correctly, I needed help, I had many letters from attorneys offering their help, when I called some didn't answer, some couldn't help unless I retained them and so on, however, Mr. Colasessano not only answered all questions, he was also very honest i n stating the obvious 3 DUI'S in less than a year not great, however, he had a plan. I followed everything that was requested to help in my defense. And after about a year and a half in and out of court, it was time. I was to receive my sentence. The judge looked over all programs, meetings, volunteer work I had completed, as requested by Mr. Colasessano. Mr. Colasessano spoke and added a few very professional yet kind words about my character, the judge asked what Mr. Colasessano's recommendation was along with what the prosecution wanted, they both agreed, I was to receive Public Intoxication with time served and 2 year probation, which I had almost completed. I couldn't believe this was the real outcome, this was unheard of, I broke down in tears because, it seemed unreal but because he was always involved every step of the way. He's an amazing, honest, fair, intelligent, he does not sugar coating the truth, but offers comfort because of his abilities that being said he will put his all into any clients case.

So I give Jonathan Harwell legal counsel a five star rating because for one it is a great legal service and he’s done great work for me so far and also a huge thing right now is I’ve been struggling with money because I’ve had to switch jobs and my most recent job and drop my hours and with that said it’s been a struggle and I’ve been a couple hundred dollars short almost every month but as long as I called him and told him what was going on they’ve always worked with me! I was a first time offender so all of this was very new to me. When the judge told me I needed a lawyer because I “make too much” I was disheartened because I’ve heard how pricey lawyers can be and I didn’t believe I could afford an attorney. At the time I had contacted several attorneys before makin g the choice of Mr. Phillip Hayes. He told me his pricing which wasn’t bad but, I didn’t think I could truly afford to pay it. He was kind enough to reduce the price with no hesitation to a price I could more comfortably pay over time. I had two court days to which Mr. Hayes was able to significantly reduce the time of my license being suspended and I have no pending interactions with the courts (ie probation) His staff was very pleasurable. When I initially called to make my first payment his paralegal Nicole was so warm and friendly. We spoke on the phone for a while as she put my anxiety about all of it at ease. I am extremely happy with my decision and will highly recommend him to anyone needing an attorney.
