- ★★★★★Outstanding Attorney
Jeffrey · family law ·
Matthew Dinn is very professional and knowledgeable. He worked diligently for what was in the best interests for my child as well as me. I was always kept informed of the status of my custody case, and all emails or phone calls were returned promptly. He has excellent courtroom etiquette, is well organized and his trial preparation was outstanding. This led to a superior outcome for my child and me. He is an outstanding attorney and I highly recommend Matthew Dinn.

My situation had some challaging issues with some of the parties involved but Bryan didn't waiver. Bryan was able to work with the other party involved to agree to terms. Bryan was very detailed paperwork was always filed on time and correctly which made the process easier. Bryan was always proff estional and easy to work with and always went above and beyond to help my family.
- ★★★★★The Total Package
The Spicers · estate planning ·
We hired Bryan for estate planning needs once we welcomed a new addition to the family. From the initial contact, Bryan was excellent. He was always prompt in responding to us via email or phone, he provided several real life scenarios to consider when drafting our documents, and was wonderful at li stening to our concerns to tailor an estate plan to meet our needs. Bryan made the experience very pleasurable, considering. Moreover, Bryan was able to help us evaluate our small businesses and how estate planning is an important part of the process. Bryan provided us a concierge experience and our family will certainly be using his services again in the future.

My family law situation had some unique quirks to it. Bryan went above and beyond to help out and make the process was as easy as possible. He also always made sure we understood what was going on.

Worse than useless. This attorney has to consistently be reminded of points of the case, issues that have been discussed, concerns that (he claims to understand & agree with) yet when it's time to file anything with the Court the entire scenario turns into groundhog's day. Follow up is less than sub -par. Does not file motions with the Court when he specifically says he will within a certain timeframe, then when questioned on the status there are a lot of ???? (i.e. deer in head light moments.) Also, repeated excuses as to delays of case or follow up because of 'sickness', personal family issues, under the weather, attorney for other party is 'non-responsive', etc etc etc. There are no words to adequately detail how completely incompetent this individual is with regards to representing the interests of his clients.
- ★★★★★Won my case in all aspects
Carrie · family law ·
Melissa Avery is consistently ranked as one of the top 50 lawyers in Indiana. That and her extensive experience in family law (17 years) is what led me to hire her to handle my child support case. Several things impressed me about Melissa during her handling of my case. First, she won every point of my case against my ex-husband. Her organized arguments and concise presentation of my case and supporting documents led the judge to find in my favor across the board. This obviously benefited me financially and emotionally. Second, she listened to me throughout the case and let me be a part of it. She answered my questions and always responded to me quickly by email and phone. Third, she was cost conscious and was very vigilant about keeping the expense of my case to a minimum. She kept me constantly informed of my attorney fees so I could monitor and plan for the cost of my case. There are attorneys that have a lower hourly fee (my ex-husband hired one), but in the end using Melissa saved me money because of how organized she was with her time and because of what she won for me.

Mrs. Melissa Avery of Avery and Cheerva is much more than just a clear and concise professional. She litigated on the behalf of my family with diligence and supreme sincerity. Her representation was invaluable in the outcome of securing what was factually within my child's best interest. Mrs. Aver y and her team were vital, and in my continuing opinion have directly attributed to my child's proper care and development. In the most difficult of times my family needed an attorney that was there to assist us with experience, expertise, shear integrity and unflinching fortitude. That is the kind of Attorney Melissa Avery is and I strongly recommend her to all those who are in need of not just a family law attorney but are in need of the very best of all family law attorneys." - ★★★★★Misleading
Steve · family law ·
Ms. Avery was very deceptive in her knowledge of law according to her professional website. When someone is involved with a family law dispute it can be a very trying time. I needed a fighter on my side who could demonstrate a professional level of competence. Ms. Avery didn't display the high level of professional competence that I am in great need of. Ms. Avery isn't suited for cases in which she would have to display the necessary qualifacations and determination needed to actually stand a chance of winning a tough case.I was extremely disapointed in my consultation and would advise anyone in my similar position to not waste their time.

- ★★★★★Best Attorney in Indiana!
Kaili ·
Nakeina was an excellent attorney and very friendly. She represented me very well in my legal affairs. One thing I greatly appreciated about Nakeina was that she got down to business right away. She worked on my case tirelessly and was helpful every step of the way. She was very knowledgeable and inf ormative throughout the entire process. From the first meeting with Nakeina I had full confidence that things would work in the end & they did. Nakeina went above and beyond for me, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone going through legal troubles.
- ★★★★★Ecstatic

- ★★★★★Great attorney, great person
Kelly · family law ·
Mr. Shive assisted me in saving my grandchild. My grandson had been in 4 foster homes. Although he did have family that could take him, the State had no desire to do any work to do what was best for the child. Mr. Shive came up with the best possible legal plan to get my grandson out of foster car e in Indiana and into my home in Florida. He continued to represent me until the adoption was final. Mr. Shive will never know the tremendous impact he had on my grandson's life, as well as my own. I cannot thank him and his assistant, Debbie, enough for all they did for us.
- ★★★★★Communicates well, is honest and fair.
anonymous · litigation ·
This lawyer was recommended by another that doesn’t handle the type of situation I was in. Mr. Shive took the time to consult with me and gave his advice, including how to hire him should I decide that was my best course. Once I determined to do so, he told me how he expected to proceed and how much the retainer would be. He was communicative, even texting if I didn’t respond by email. When it was over without need for court involvement, the remainder of the retainer was returned. I feel his dealings were forthright and fair. I would recommend him.
- ★★★★★“THE BEAST” vs “THE BEAST”
Thomas and Angela · family law ·
We hired Rob Shive who came at a high cost. Every penny we’ve spent was well worth it! Rob entered into our CPS case when they were trying to steal our little boys. They almost achieved it until Rob stepped in. This man is a BEAST in the courtroom, trust me. I guess it takes a beast like him (Shive) to fight a beast like them (CPS). He did it, hooray!! Our family is back together again. I’m NOT going out on a limb here, Rob Shive is the best attorney in Indianapolis to go to war with CPS. HIRE HIM! You won’t regret it!!
- ★★★★★Wonderful, Awesome, Greatness, Genius...
anonymous · family law ·
Robert Shive is WONDERFUL! DCS was trying to classify my child as a CHINS, a child in need of their services. They traumatized my child over 4 months in foster care; even though he has 3 grown full blooded siblings that could have kept him, and also 2 grandmothers! I'm so thankful I found this wonderful, intelligent man to help me get through this. He got my son out of there as quick as he possibly could, and also confronted DCS on their incompetence and lies. He's THE best attorney. I was very hard to deal with. I'd never been away from my child, I was crying all the time and having severe separation anxiety and scared to death of what might be happening to him. Mr. Shive was still very patient, understanding, and kind to me. And answered all my emails, and kept me informed. If I didn't understand, he helped me to understand. Never trust a public defender when it comes to your child. I'm not knocking them either. They are just so bogged down... If DCS takes your child- get an attorney ASAP! And preferably Mr. Shive if he's available. He will positively make sure these people don't walk all over you! Even if you have to take out a loan or sell your belongings. Money is everywhere, but your child is IRREPLACEABLE! DCS is a malicious entity and they target poverty level single mothers. They will keep your child as long as they can, tell lies, keep you going to numerous waste of time court dates as long as they can, stall you with "courses" or "classes" and tell you if you take them, or do this or that, well now, THEN we'll give you your child back. Don't believe them! Once they've had your child in their custody for 15 months, your child WILL be adopted and lost forever! It's that serious! I recommend the book "Legally Kidnapped" which was written by a former DCS/ CPS worker. And I HIGHLY recommend Robert Shive! He really KNOWS what he's doing and I'm so grateful to have had him on my side. I'm so hoping this review will lead someone else that was in my same position to this awesome attorney that WILL do his BEST to get you your child back. Just TRUST him and be honest with him, and it will all work out. The bad news is: if you don't have an attorney, you won't be getting your child/children back. Too many federal incentives for them to be giving up their victims- the children.
