- ★★★★★Great Lawyer
anonymous · family law ·
Tony is always cool, calm and collected. He was quite responsive and knowledgeable with respect to my complex divorce. I am happy to recommend him.
- ★★★★★Great atty smart fast funny gets job done
anonymous · family law ·
I worked with the Tony for several years on an extended settlement case in both court and arbitration. He was very knowledgeable, smart, effective, fair. He provided excellent advice on difficult situations regarding what was wrong but not worth pursuing. He listens, works with you to decide a strate gy, then effectively carries it through. He is funny which helps in a long case, does not over charge and he is just top of line. I highly recommend him for divorce, for post divorce, for any issue he covers. You will be very happy with his representation. He is a rare person.
- ★★★★★PROVIDED GENUINE FREE LEGAL ADVICE
Soniya · family law ·
So this happened when my father was looking for a lawyer since the lawyer i had didnt have great communication skills. My father wanted to get a second opinion from another reputed lawyer. My father and i spoke to Jaye. She was kind enough to provide over 3 hours of free guidance. She didnt demand to get any payment (very unusal of a lawyer to give free advice). She knew she couldnt represent me as she didnt work with Essex county. She was always available to give me free advice and guide me in the right direction when i needed her support. Lawyers like her will keep your legal fees low and help you get out of the divorce as quickly and as elegantly as possible. She understood where i was coming from and more than that she understood what a father goes through during this tough time. It is unfortunate she didnt work with my county. She is very competent, great work ethics and treats her clients like humans. Again if she can represent you in your county, please do not hesitate to reach out to her. She is the best out there. All the best Jaye S. and thanks again for all the hard work you put into guiding me and making my life easy.
- ★★★★★so impressed with this attorney
anonymous ·
I recently reached out to Attorney Samuel for an initial consultation, and unfortunately one minute into the conversation she realized that I do not live in one of the counties that she services. Despite this fact, she proceeded to discuss my case with me and provided me valuable insight. Her brea dth of knowledge, compassion, professionalism, and sense of reason so impressed me that despite the fact that I am unable to engage her to represent me, I felt compelled to write a review. For anyone in need of her services and is fortunate enough to reside in the appropriate county, I would not hesitate to utilize her services.
- ★★★★★Professional, Responsive, Organized.
anonymous · litigation ·
Jaye was extremely professional, responsive and organized. The case was prolonged due to opposing lawyer and individual dragging their feet, being unresponsive and difficult. Jaye was on top of everything, responsive and always provided appropriate and the best counsel. She answered every question fu lly (and I had many!) and managed expectations. With such difficult situations, Jaye was professional, sympathetic and understanding as well as able to push things forward and maintain the values and direction I wanted. I am extremely grateful and so glad I chose Jaye to work with.
- ★★★★★Rock solid support
anonymous · family law ·
Jaye represented me through a particularly complex and lengthy divorce where child custody was a factor. She was a consistent, empathetic, and solid support, and she always took the time to help me understand and navigate an unfamiliar process. I would highly recommend working with Jaye.
- ★★★★★Bad experience
Anonymous · family law ·
Had a consultation with her regarding a child custody case, she had very limited knowledge and made me feel like I had very little options as a father.
- ★★★★★Marcia and her staff were amazing!
Ruth · family law ·
From the first consultation I felt like Marcia and her firm would be the best for my situation (married 20+ years, two children (one special needs, one college, husband that could be unpredictable and not responsive to legal issues). She made sure that the case progressed in a timely manner and I al ways felt I could call and ask questions through out this whole process. Marcia and her staff are so skilled at what they do they were able to craft an excellent settlement for me and my kids at what was supposed to have been a temporary support motion. They were well aware of all the pertinent facts of my case and were able to work with my husbands lawyer to, in a matter of hours, resolve something that I felt surely was going to last at least another year. I would highly recommend Marcia! She is professional, intelligent, sharp and is able to view your case from all potential angles and plan accordingly. This was definitely money spent.
- ★★★★★Can't say enough...

I was actually working with another attorney when I filed a complaint for modification in 2014 to get joint physical custody of my daughter. I found my attorney to be completely disorganized, dishonest and difficult to work with. My now wife was deposed by the Defendant and was advised to have a n attorney present for the deposition. My wife stayed up all night emailing various practices explaining the situation and that she needed an attorney that following week. Marcia responded to my wife’s desperate email in the middle of the night which now knowing Marcia so well is not uncharacteristic. Marcia quickly caught herself up to speed with the case, made time to prep with my wife and managed her through the deposition. After my wife describing Marcia as professional, articulate and efficient, I made the decision to hire her for my case. We hired Marcia in December 2014 and worked with her through our trial in August 2016. In that time, we had several unforeseen circumstances that forced the case to get pushed back. When we first started working with her, she managed our expectations and was very realistic which I found was not as common as you would think when speaking with attorneys. She was very straightforward yet compassionate to my case. She genuinely cared about my family as did her team. Never having gone through litigation, I didn’t know what to expect. Her team was patient and provided guidance on how to handle certain situations (requests from opposing counsel and dealing with my daughter’s mother to name a few) which at times was above and beyond. Having this case become longer than expected, my wife and I become emotionally drained and Marcia and her team helped us stay the course. They were extremely organized, detailed and what appeared to always be ahead of the opposing counsel at all times. I was always able to reach someone on her team and each member of her staff displayed a standard of professionalism. This in particular was refreshing given I had worked with two practices who were so disorganized. We suspected this case would go to trial and wasn’t sure how Marcia would do with litigation. Not surprising, Marcia was just as good in the courtroom as she was outside the courtroom. So good that the judge commented at the end of our trial on how well we were represented. She was well known in our court (Norfolk) and had worked with our particular Judge before which I think was valuable to our case. She also worked well with the opposing counsel which I also think was a real benefit in our case as there was a lot of back and forth over the years. At the end of the day, results are what matters. We received our consolidated judgement and rationale in late October 2016 from our trial. Every item that we wanted modified was changed. An extra bonus was that my child support was lowered. We had a very practical judge which certainly helped this case but I think it came down to the way that I and my daughter’s mother represented ourselves. He stressed the desire to hear from us. Without Marcia’s guidance, I don’t know if it would have went as well as it did. My daughter’s mother got up on the stand and just attacked me as a parent. Marcia reminded me to focus on what was important, remain respectful and complimentary (anyone going through this will agree is not always easy, especially after being attacked) to her mother. I did that and in the Judge’s rationale he stressed the fact that our parenting styles may be different but that our daughter will benefit from both of us. She continued to highlight the fact that co-parenting should be flexible and harmonious and that even after we get through this litigation, we are still parents and have to deal with one another. I realized I would be better off taking the high road and now that it is over, I am glad I did. I can’t thank Marcia and her team enough for their work on this case as I now get to enjoy my daughter’s childhood wh

It was a bad time in my life and since I have lost human trust due to my ex , when I was served at home I thought the whole sky fell on me no one to turn to and no hope. Started to search for different lawyers and found couple but when I saw Marcia and her team I went for it. It felt that I could trust again. During our consultations all her stuff was very prompt and respectful, we worked together on strategy and timeline and after 1 year collaboration We made it. - ★★★★★Best Move I Made
George · family law ·
I was referred to Marcia Mavrides by my then current council and a personal friend. What started out as a quick and easy divorce became a highly contested battle. Marcia and her team stepped in and took over without missing a beat. Communication, support, and knowledgeable in every aspect of the pro cess. When it came time to be in court The Mavrides Team took all the stress out if the situation. Always prepared, prompt and their presence could be felt in the court room. I felt that their approach to the situation was practical, sensible and attainable. They never over promise but the over deliver with their results. Having a child means going to court will probably inevitable, however, I know that it will be Mavrides Law representing my interests.
- ★★★★★Outstanding Divorce Attorney
anonymous · family law ·
Marcia Mavrides is a highly professional attorney in family law, and I highly recommend her. I had a tough divorce with child custody issues that lasted a year and I am so happy Marcia was by my side who dealt with the legalities of my divorce. She is the ‘leader’ in family law divorces that deal w ith issues from child support and custody to finances and assets. Marcia also focuses on mediation where she helped me and my spouse talk through our issues to try to come to a reasonable resolution rather than going into litigation. Marcia was very patient and sensitive to the issues that were important to me and for my child’s behalf. She was extremely detailed oriented in my final separation agreement that addressed complex areas. In the court hearings, I noticed that Marcia has gained a huge respect from her peers, court personnel and our judge. She is very professional and very compassionate about her work and especially my case. She was always prepared at my court hearings and remarkably detailed in my divorce documentation needed for court. During many of our four way meetings with my spouse and his attorney, Marcia had a great way of rationalizing an issue where she calmed down the other counsel and my spouse many times. This helped us come to a resolution, close each issue and move on to the next issue, and she documented the resolution in my final separation agreement. Marcia is an outstanding attorney and I mean this in many ways because of her fairness, ethics, and toughness in court, friendly personality, and hard work she did for me. She truly cared about me and my case and what was important to me. She is also very ethical and looked after me, her client’s needs. Also want to mention that her staff is so friendly, thorough and organized with the documentation that was required for my divorce and meeting conferences. I also had one of her attorneys in her office, Jennifer Silva, work on my final separation agreement and represented me at my court hearings. Marcia and her attorneys/staff are a great team. I am so happy I found Marcia and can’t thank her enough. Thank you Marcia for working so hard on my case!
