After facing a very difficult and discriminatory work environment, I was put in a position where I needed to retain representation to negotiate a settlement with my former employer. Adam was kind and professional, always stating all options - even those that were not in his own best interest, monetar ily - for me to consider. Given that all of this began in conjunction with the global pandemic, I assumed there would be delays or even the likelihood that the process would stall. Adam stayed vigilant on my behalf and we settled for an amount six times of the initial offer, and were able to do so with a training requirement for the organization. Not only did Adam make a daunting and unfamiliar process go smoothly, but he advocated for my rights every step of the way, continuing to push for what we agreed on, together. Adam represented me in my purchase of a stake in an existing business. He did a thorough job of asking me questions about the company and my prospective business partners. He then reviewed the proposed Shareholder Agreement and Stock Purchase Agreement. He pointed out all of my potential areas of concern (which were both numerous and significant as a minority shareholder) and consulted me on them. After our discussions, Adam crafted language that effectively represented my interests, but that was in line with the sensibilities of the other parties involved. He made sure that I did not expose myself and my family to any unreasonable risk, and balanced that with my desire to negotiate with my prospective partners in a non-combative spirit. In the end, we were able to close the deal quickly with it being a win for everyone involved. Paul was an excellent advocate for me. He helped me obtain a decreased suspension thereby saving me and my family from significant hardship. Prior to his representation I was considerably distressed. I truly wish I had hired him during the course of the investigation, where I am certain he could h ave helped. He helped me obtain additional time to comply with the suspension requirements and was a fierce advocate for my mitigating circumstances. Paul responded very quickly to my inquiries and eventually ended up helping me with a BBO matter Stemming from an unreasonable opposing party. As an attorney, making the decision to retain an attorney seemed a bit like a waste of money to me. I consider myself to be quite skilled and capable and won dered what he might do for me that I wouldn’t be able to do on my own. But I can say now that it was the best money I ever spent for a service. He was able to say things in my defense that I couldn’t say myself without sounding like a boaster and could push hard in my defense In a way that would not have seemed as sincere if it came from me. I would say that Even if you’re a great writer or attorney, having an objective voice and a passionate advocate can make all the difference. I would hire Paul any day of the week to help in any type of situation, but particularly if you have trouble with the BBO. He has a wealth of experience dealing with the bar and knows all of the players, which is terrific but he also has tremendous insight and an ability to work with people and see to the heart of a matter that just cannot be taught.
