Completely unprepared and unprofessional during my custody case. Hiring Michael Barrows was one of the worst decisions I made. He came to court completely unprepared after billing me for hours on a counter motion that was never properly finished. His courtroom performance was weak and unconvincing, a nd the opposing attorney easily outmaneuvered him. Instead of protecting my interests, he seemed more concerned with being friendly with opposing counsel. For someone going through a high-conflict custody battle, this lack of preparation and advocacy was devastating. Communication and professionalism were equally unacceptable. Michael was extremely difficult to reach, rarely responded to emails, and his office was so disorganized that I never even received my temporary order. I had to go to family court myself to obtain it. At a time when I was freshly postpartum, a single mother, and facing an abusive ex with an aggressive attorney, I needed representation that was competent, prepared, and responsive. Instead, I was left unsupported and had to return to my previous attorney, who ultimately secured a favorable outcome. Based on my experience, I strongly urge anyone considering retaining him to look elsewhere.

I am a single mom and Registered Nurse and left the state of New York to be safe. I was threatened by my ex's lawyer to bring the child back, even though its been more than 6 months, paternity was never established and we were never married. Mike made me feel so much better after he spoke to me about the LAW and not the lies that I was being told by my ex's lawyer. He saw that I was a single mom and didn't overcharge me either. Mr. Levy was also amazing and stayed on the phone with me for an hour going over my case for FREE!!! That does not happen in New York. I pray that my case is won, and I pray that Mike and his family are blessed so richly

Coincidentally, my experience was eerily similar to the one star review posted six years ago. He made promises to file motions on three separate occasions and never followed through. The opposing council was given free reign to dominate given no interest on Mr. Barrow's part. Communication is awful a nd no direction is given. If I were asked about this firm I would not recommend them given my experience. Keep a careful watch on your invoices.

Best litigation attorneys ever. I had a pressing legal matter. I contacted Barrows Levy on a Saturday. Itamar who is one of the partners, gets back to me on that same day on a weekend. I was surprised to hear from someone on the weekend, amazed on the same day, he gave me an initial quick consult a nd what I needed to prepare for our full consultation. He set up a free consultation with me a few days later over Zoom of Microsoft Teams. Within a week after that, they were retained, filed a lawsuit against a company for me for money owed, breach of contract, etc, and served the defendant. It's like the best client service I have ever experienced and they get the work done in a reasonable amount of time. I wish everything went as smooth as this. What a great experience.
