I hired David in 2014, a year and a half we had our trial. The long wait was just circumstances, not David. He is not a dirty lawyer, no tricks etc. He was extremely honest with me, with the other party, the judge and other lawyers. I'm a father, I had joint custody from 2008 forward. We had a GA L. In 2015 we had a two day trial. I received sole physical and legal custody. The mother also had to pay $8000 of my legal fees. There was a lot of manipulation, lots of badmouthing. Patients is key in all this. David was very good at keeping me calm, giving me advice, sometimes what seemed like daily. He answered my calls way more often than most lawyers would. Very personal relationship with David was established. David far exceeded my expectations, he earned every penny I gave him and then some. He was always on time, always called when he said he would. This was a long painful experience but David made it pleasant from time to time. Thank you David for all you have done for me and our family!!!!

Last year, I found myself in Lawrence Goodwin’s office 24 hrs after my daughter and I had left home and the dangerous husband that went with it. The framed Scarface poster on the wall told me that I had come to the right place. I needed someone who would fight the battles that I was too tired to fi ght myself. I wanted a warrior, a shark, a pit-bull; someone to stand up and say, “She’s not afraid of your threats any longer! “ I got all that and more in Lawrence. He listened carefully to the entirety of my situation, picking it apart, and asking a lot of questions until he was confident he understood it all. He told me right away what he could and couldn’t do for me. He made a promise to always “give it to me straight” throughout the process, so as not to get my hopes up for results founded in unrealistic expectations. I hired him immediately and he told me exactly what to do, what not to do, and for anything else not previously mentioned - to check with him first. I had walked in there that day feeling confused, scared, and discouraged. After talking to Lawrence, I felt like I was a woman with a plan. I had confidence. I had hope. Lawrence immediately sprung into action when I left his office. My divorce lasted over 11 months and went all the way to a full day trial. It was litigated in 2 different counties. There have been NUMEROUS hearings, a protective order, contempt of court charges, and changing of attorneys multiple times (on the opposing side). Add to that, my ex-husband did every wicked thing you could possibly imagine to try to force me to back down to his demands. Lawrence has been with me through it all, since day one, and has been my voice of reason. When you’re going through a divorce, you’re an emotional wreck. You’re not in a good place to make quick, educated, major decisions that will affect the rest of your life and your children’s lives. Lawrence will tell you when to calm down, get over it, move on, or put your big girl panties on and get ready for the battle. Lawrence Goodwin is always right. He knows the law. He knows all of the judge’s personalities, styles, and how they will respond to everything. The first time we went to court, I saw all of this right before my eyes. I learned to trust him and now I have such a strong confidence in him that he has gone to court without me on several occasions, as he is fully capable of arguing on my behalf. Watching Lawrence in the courtroom is like watching Leonardo da Vinci paint, Mozart play the piano, or Michael Jordan slam dunk a basketball. He was born to be an attorney and is a master of his craft. Lawrence always shows up to court looking like a million bucks, in a designer suit. He has an entourage of interns and staff following closely behind. It’s very intimidating for the opposing party. No matter what the judge or the other side throws at him, he thinks FAST on his feet, shoots down whatever issue was at hand and moves on to his next point. He commands complete control of the courtroom and NOTHING causes him hesitation. If you think all lawyers are pretty much the same and will get you what you want, think again. I have sat in family court in absolute SHOCK, watching the timid, soft spoken, attorneys in other cases who were completely out of their comfort zones. You cannot do it alone or without Lawrence Goodwin on your side. My divorce was final a few months ago and I was awarded sole custody of my daughter. I also got 99% of everything else I wanted. It wasn’t easy (although Lawrence sure made it look that way in court) and it also wasn’t cheap. But, today I am debt free, since Lawrence made sure my ex got all of the marital debt, and I have my little girl. We are moving on to a great life and I am not afraid of whatever the future holds because I know that Lawrence Goodwin is always just a phone call away.

Lawrence and his staff were the consummate professionals throughout my divorce process. The proceedings included 3 mediations and numerous court appearances including trial. Through it all they kept me informed every step of the way. My case was continued by the court 3 times in an 18 month period , but each time, Lawrence worked closely with the judge's office to ensure that I was moved to the top of the next available docket, even going the extra mile to get my trial date scheduled for an unorthodox Friday afternoon when the judge normally did not see cases. Had this not been the case, it would have been another several months. When it came to preparation, they were fantastic. I never felt nervous about what I was to face in the courtroom. Additionally, the difference between our preparedness for trial and that of opposing counsel was huge! All exhibits on my side were organized into easy-to-reference tabulated binders for judge, attorneys and myself, while my spouses attorney handed out random exhibits loosely, failing to have enough copies and some even mislabeled. In the end, the judgement favored me by a wide margin, even beyond my own expectation. I would recommend Lawrence Goodwin and his team to any potential family law client.

Hired at end of August 2022 for my divorce. Filed paperwork with court and virtually has done nothing since. Looked on OSCN and my case was "stricken" in Dec. 2022. I did not request this. Doesn't return emails. Voice mail box is full. No way to reach him. Filed complaint with the Bar to end t his. Do not recommend.

Absolutely one of the best family attorneys’ in OKC! If you want a tough, razor-sharp, outside-of-the-box thinking, professional lawyer, then you need to give Andrew a call! He knows the law and is aggressive in making things happen. He will not nickel-and-dime you to death, and actually favors settling cases out of court vs. going to trial. I was able to settle my case through legal meditation thanks to Andrew’s critical thinking skills in finding solutions and solving some serious and complex asset issues, that both parties could agree to. Moreover, Andrew has an outstanding rapport with other lawyers here in OKC, and this became clearly evident, after a couple visits to the courthouse with him, you could tell he was well received by his peers, which is beneficial if you want things to go smoothly with your case, and avoid a full-on court battle, which could cost you thousands in the end. If it wasn’t for the other side dragging things along, my case would have been over inside nine months, and it wasn’t a slam dunk case by any stretch. It’s truly a testament to how quickly Andrew moves at getting to an agreement both parties can accept, all while preserving as much as he can for his client. Although I’m extremely confident had my case went to trial, I most certainly would’ve had the right guy on my team! Additionally, being a retired military member, and Andrew’s prior military service, served me well, as he is well versed in military law and how to apply it in family court proceedings, making him even more well-rounded than the average family lawyer. Lastly, I would be amiss if I didn’t recognize an instrumental part of The Schwartzberg Law Group, and that being his legal assistant, Mallory. She is super proactive in getting the answers you need and was always very pleasant and helpful on the phone and in person. I had hired an attorney in Lawton to handle my father's probate case. This attorney had came highly recommended so I was comfortable with hiring him. He spent five months on my case and did absolutely nothing in getting the case resolved. Two weeks before I was to appear in court he withdrew from my case. As you could imagine I was in a frenzy trying to find an attorney to take my case at the last minute. I called Carla's office and she called me back that evening after she got out of court. I could tell immediately that she was one sharp lady and she knew what she was very knowledgeable on various laws. Carla sat me down the first time like a person and helped me realized how much my previous lawyer didn't even help. After speaking with her she went right to work and put her best effort to make things right again when I got a divorce. Later I ran into trouble on getting custody of my son with her ha rd work and putting her heart into her work she managed to provide a encyclopedia over 500 pages worth of evidence to prove my case. Michelle was recommended to me, by a coworker in my US military unit. He said that she represented him very well, in his divorce case. I am thankful that Michelle accepted my case. Michelle was appointed to my divorce case and almost acted as a second attorney for my ex wife. Her bias was beyond obvious to all parties. Not only did she defend my ex wife’s marijuana use in court (a violation of the temporary order), she also discarded a failed alcohol test after her weekend with the kids and ignored every single concern I had about the kids well being, both mentally and physically. Michelle is a disgrace to her profession. If she is assigned your case, fight it as hard as you can. Your kids will thank you one day!
