    My case involved a wrongful termination from a large organization after a year of leading a team to produce outstanding results in the face of the challenges we faced due to the Covid pandemic. Mr Gold came highly recommended and I chose to work with him after vetting two other recommended attorneys . The reason I chose to work with Mr. Gold was 1) far more responsive and empathetic and he was the most realistic of the three in the sense that he said that I have a good case here and that he can help improve the severance package I was initially offered. One of the lawyers said I didn’t have a case and just take the package as offered and the other was very slow in responding and when he finally did he laid out a very complex approach. What impressed me with Mr. Gold and his team were available to speak in the evenings and he was super responsive by email. He even stayed closely connected when he assigned my case to one of his partners. Mr. Gold also differentiated himself from the other attorneys because he spent enough time speaking with me that he made me realize that my case was more than just a wrongful dismissal. At first I was hesitant to use an attorney because I generally avoid thinking about myself as a victim, Mr Gold helped me to come to terms with the fact that in this case I was a victim of wrongful dismissal with the compounding factor that I had taken a stand on an harassment issue that my boss wanted swept under the rug. Without going into details, Mr. Gold and his team took the time to prepare a very convincing EEOC Complaint. Within about 4 weeks, and after a few iterations, my former employer agreed to raise my severance to 5 times greater than the initial offer. I felt like Mr. Gold and his staff and I were all on the same team and we were able to push a very large and powerful employer to provide a generous severance after first offering a paltry one. In summary, I strongly recommend Sid Gold and his team. I hope to never be in this situation again but I would return without question. I tell family and friends that if they are looking for a compassionate, smart, fast and effective employment attorney Sid Gold and team is who they should use.

    Sidney L. Gold and Associates made it possible for me begin a second professional career (Intellectual Property Law) relatively late in life. If it were not for the exceptional services that I received from Sidney L. Gold and Associates, I most likely would have found myself struggling in the over-cr owded, rather bleak job market that many of my unemployed older peers now find themselves in. I can’t say enough positive things about the services that I received from Sidney L. Gold and Associates. To begin with, Mr. Gold provided me with an initial consultation absolutely free. Most of the other employment lawyers that I contacted – none of which are even in the same league as Mr. Gold and Associates – wanted upwards of $500 for an initial consultation. They provided no assurance that they would even take me on a client after the initial consultation! Mr. Gold, more than any other employment lawyer I spoke with, provided a thorough and realistic assessment of my situation. Without going in to detail, my situation was quite complicated. Some lawyers told me to just give up. Others provided unrealistically optimistic assessments, and wanted me to “dive in” to right in to a specific - I would say “canned” or “scripted” - course of action. Mr. Gold and Associates took the time to really listen and understand my situation. In due course, working together we developed a realistic initial strategy. As events unfolded, Mr. Gold and Associates adapted the “game plan” accordingly. In the end, everybody won. My situation involved isolated circumstances within a very large organization. I always had great respect for the company that I worked for, and I still do. Once my situation was understood and evaluated by the right people, I received the fair and just treatment that I deserved.
