5 stars are not enough to justify the service and dedication he has provided for myself and our family. I could write all day long and it still won’t be enough to praise how dedicated and honest of an attorney John is consistently. He is selfless, he is fair and just, he fights for what is right, especially when innocent children are caught in the ugly mess of divorce/custody battles. John and his paralegal dropped the ball so many times, then would blame it on each other. He promised us 1 thing and we got the totally opp osite. John wife is an addicted and John had her call us bout our case!!!! He was not ready for the court date that kept getting pushed back for over a year. I hired Mr. Aslett in 2021 to handle a nondisclosure for a 1998 Class-C Misdemeanor. Before payment, he was responsive and professional. Afterward, I felt the communication became noticeably less attentive. He stated the record would be fully removed, including from private background databases, b ut that didn’t match my outcome. When I followed up, I found his answers unclear, which left me unsure whether the issue was with the process or communication. In 2023, a misdirected text led to a brief and tense exchange. I was surprised when Mr. Aslett, a former prosecutor, contacted authorities, and weeks later, reported fearing for his safety. This resulted in a criminal charge based on that exchange. While I can’t know his reasoning, the escalation felt disproportionate to me and raised concerns about judgment and communication. My experience was disappointing and left me with serious reservations.

My parents found Allen while I was still in prison about to be released to a felony detainer in Houston for forgery. Allen was extremely kind and helpful to my parents who were unfamiliar both with this process and the Houston area itself. The very reasonable one time fee we paid for Allen to take my case was all that was ever asked of me even after he had gotten it dismissed. I even offered to pay extra and he declined.
