  • ★★★★★My highest recommendation for Mr. Clifford

I wanted to write my review after speaking the first time with Mr. Clifford, but kept postponing because other tasks kept coming and always required immediate attention. However, this review most likely has a higher value to those that are searching for a good employment lawyer that represent and adv ise employees, since it is written after multiple conversations over a long period of time with Mr. Clifford. The last summer, after loosing my job, I needed to find a lawyer who would review multiple documents (NCA, separation agreement, etc) related to my employment. After spending a full day online and reading reviews from other reviewers, I decided to “choose”Mr. Clifford. My situation was complex and beside getting legal advice, he offered comfort and asked what is the most important for me at the time. He advised me to proceed in accordance to my priorities, although that advice was not in his financial interest. His demeanor and advice have very calming effect on me and I knew I could trust him in protecting my interests. After a couple of months I contacted him again to clarify some details, that I could not interpret properly on my own without legal help. He explained everything in very clear terms, so even someone who is not in the legal field could understand without any difficulties. He also remembered the details of our previous conversation and advised me again while taking into consideration my previous decision. Since then, he advised me twice. He does not hesitate to point out what can go wrong and he does not overpromise. I trust that he protects my best interests and gives me the best possible advice taking into account my specific situation. Although some may hesitate to spend money on getting a legal advice, in some situation that could be well worth it and prevent unnecessary stress. What is the most difficult and important is to find a good lawyer to whom you can trust. Those who dealt in the past with lawyers who do not listen what are you trying to explain will understand a difference.

I hired Mr. Clifford to go over my severance agreement before I signed it and was very satisfied with the experience for several reasons. His turnaround time was uncanny; I initially contacted him on a Friday afternoon, yet he had everything completed and ready to go over with me by the following day (yes, Saturday). In addition to providing me his annotations, he spent two hours on the phone with me going over everything and patiently answering every question I had. He did the same on two subsequent occasions when I had a question. I felt like he was very good at understanding my questions even when I struggled with the 'legalese' and did a superb job responding to my queries. I would also add that if anyone is debating whether or not to seek professional input on a severance document, the peace of mind is alone worth the price of admission.
