I was falsely accused of 2 serious felonies, after giving Mrs. Swisher the facts, she requested a few documents and the one document I thought was least important turned out to be the most important based on my case. Both charges were dismissed!! I met Attny Swisher back in 05-2018. When I met this great Counselor I was homeless and suffering from PTSD. My life had been turned upside down, LITERALLY ! I’m a US Marine Legal Specialist. I’m used to being the HERO, NOT THE VICTIM. I was trying to get myself together but my focus was all over the place. We were in a conference room at Career & Recovery and I was just spewing out stuff that I thought should be on my resume and the person that I was talking to didn’t agree. Attny Swisher stopped what she was doing and asked to see my resume. I showed it to her and she said “You have great info on here and a lot of good skills but your formatting is weak for the day and times we’re in you should update it to what the exec’s want to see today.” No fuss no muss, just polite and straight forward, BUT with command in her voice. Then she asked if I had any other issues. I told her about some legal ticket issues and Attny Swisher told me how to address them. I did EXACTLY what she told me to do and low and behold the tickets got dismissed. There were a couple of times after that, that I needed legal counsel and she came through for me.
