My immigration case was very difficult. I, unfurtunately, acquired several arrests (10+) during earlier years of my life. These arrests previously caused my citizenship application to be denied, when I applied on my own several years ago. If i could give him 0 stars i would. Was told that my case was filled but was shown absolutely no proof. Months pass by with no word. Finally i call the office to get an update but was told they cannot do anything for me because i was born in mexico, although i was born to an american citizen. Called the office to say i wanted a refund and that i got ripped off out of 1000 dollars just for them to get angry and hang up on me. Never suggested to file N-600 form. I am writing this review based on my experience working with Charles Vethan as legal counsel in a matter that directly affected my family’s financial interests. Initially, communication and guidance were clear, and I believed our concerns were being taken seriously. However, over time, there was a noticeable shift in both responsiveness and approach. Communication became inconsistent, and important questions went unanswered or were addressed only after repeated follow ups. As disagreements arose regarding strategy and next steps, the tone of the representation changed. Positions that had previously been discussed shifted, and pressure was applied to proceed in ways that I did not believe were fully explained or aligned with our understanding of the situation. Ultimately, the attorney withdrew from the matter at a critical stage. This left us in a difficult position and required us to seek assistance elsewhere in order to protect our interests. The timing and manner of the withdrawal were particularly concerning, given the complexity and stakes involved. As a client, we expected consistent advocacy, transparency, and stability throughout the representation. Based on my experience, I did not feel adequately supported once disagreements emerged, and the change in approach was both unexpected and disruptive. This review reflects my personal experience only. Do your research on this person and law firm in pleadings and google. Others may have had different outcomes, but based on mine, I would encourage anyone considering representation to ask detailed questions upfront about communication, strategy alignment, and how disagreements are handled if they arise.

Charles is more of a salesman than a lawyer. He will make big promises and act like he will take on your case personally when, in reality, all he cares about is the money, and he will push all the work down to his junior attorneys, who do not know what they are doing. Avoid at all costs!

I retained this firm (Charles Vethan) during active litigation under a contingency arrangement. In the middle of the case, Charles withdrew. Shortly after withdrawing, Charles initiated litigation against me seeking substantial attorney’s fees, including enforcement of a contingency fee I dispute was earned. A motion for summary judgment was filed against me. After months of litigation, the firm ultimately recovered nothing. Separately, the firm was handling my pending trademark application. Following withdrawal, I did not receive clear notice of critical USPTO deadlines or a proper transfer of the file. The application was later deemed abandoned, forcing me to restart the entire process. Clients should ensure that fee terms, withdrawal procedures, and docketing responsibilities are clearly defined in writing. Continuity and accountability matter. I paid Mr. Thornhill a flat fee of $5,000 to represent me in a business dispute between myself and a homeowner. My case was a slam dunk case for any seasoned attorney. Before going to trial I asked Mr Thornhill on several occasions to subpoena the 88 year old homeowner's daughters who hired me to do the work and had been dodging court at all cost. Mr Thornhill did exactly what he wanted and did not subpoena the main individual who needed to be in court. Each time I called his office to get updates on the case I can tell based on the answers I was getting that the case was poorly prepared. The morning of the Court Mr Thornhill emailed me at 10:00 a.m. asking me to familiarize myself with the questions that he was going to ask me and if I could get in touch with my main witness to be in court for 1:00 p.m. All I could do was shake my head and wonder what kind of foolishness was this. After getting to court it appeared that the attorney the defendant hired at the last minute was much more prepared than Mr Thornhill. Mr Thornhill ask me some questions on the witness stand as a matter of formality but failed to grill the defendant. He asked this 88-year-old lady all but two to three questions and when I asked him after court why didn't he Grill her his response was there was no sense in putting her through that. All I can think about was you took my $5,000 to go to court and tell me that it was no sense in putting her through that like the judge was going to hand you the case without proving it. I was so sure that we were going to win the case that I was prepared to let him keep the $9,615 plus attorney fees to represent me in two additional cases that I have pending. After seeing that lackluster effort on his part only the collect an easy $5,000 I would never recommend or use him again. When I asked him after we lost the case why didn't he subpoena her daughter like a requested, his response was all she was going to do was lie. Although her mom lied and we still lost it would have been much easier for the judge to see through her lies which would have given us a much better chance to prevail had he only done his job. All I can say is please vet these attorneys before throwing your money away. All he had to do was prove quantummeruit and unjust enrichment based on no written contract and he could not even do that. What a total disappointment and waste of money.

Our problem with this guy/firm is that he did NOT keep his word to my wife and I about what he told us that he would do for us if we hired him! In separate conversations that he had with my wife and myself, his “SALES PITCH” was that he/we would go after insurance company/agent first and if agent wouldn’t settle(he was very sure tho that agent would settle easily), that next step(plan B), would be to go after insurance company/agent! Again, he thought insurance company would EASILY settle with us(WE HV A NO BRAINER CASE, WE HV OVER 100 PICS OF CONSTRUCTION FLAWS THAT WERE DONE TO OUR HOME THAT WERE CAUSED BY SORRY INEXPERIENCED CONTRACTORS THAT WE HAD HIRED), CT even came to our home and saw first hand our “PROBLEMS” and again he assured us that this should be a slam dunk case! BUT, for some WEIRD/UNKNOWN reason(at least to us) insurance company denied claim and NOW CT is basically telling us that going after insurance company/agent isn’t going to happen(?), isn’t an option now and he’s now wanting us to go after SORRY/BROKE contractors who have NO $$$(who so far have offered to pay us $1k less than what we pd CT), so hiring him was totally a huge WASTE OF TIME! I/we wouldn’t have ever hired the guy, pd him $2,500 if the last resort would have been to go after BROKE contractors who at best would only walk away with a judgment against them. I specifically went over in our conversation what plan B would be and it was going after insurance company! And one can easily type in online “can an insurance company be sued if they turn down a claim” and the answer is YES!!! I’m not sure what happened here but just like with TYPICAL SORRY ATTORNEYS, they want u to pay them a good $ amount upfront and then there’s really no incentive to do what they were hired to do! That $2,500 was just a little weekend spending $ for him, I’m sure that he has a GR8 weekend spending it and now it’s basically “SCREW U” to us! NOT COOL/NOT RIGHT!!!

Who doesn't take the time to make sure their clothes aren't wrinkled before trail. I don't believe my lawyer kuteyi took the time to read on any of my pages of previous experiences since nothing was brought up in trail. Even substantial information that could have changed the outcome. This was truly a horrible experience and I'm telling everyone don't waste your money on them. Mrs. Reynolds has been the best smartest knowledgable attorney foremost i have ever hired for my case concerning an unreasonable eviction against my apartment complex. She has gone beyond her generosity in helping me find pin point solutions to win are case against the apartment Management incorporat ion. These crooks retaliated against me and kick me out of my apartments for suing them for wrongful towing and unprofessionalism on emergency maintenance request as well as unsanitary housing environment. As soon as they were served by an officer of the law they evicted me from my home and gave me a 3 day limit to vacate the apartment. This was an impossible task to do as much as i tried to move all my valuables first from my property since i know and heard of so often apartments changing locks and keeping residents out if they don't vacate. After the 3rd day of my time limit i was able to remove most of my property that was most valuable to me but still had my bed frame in the apartment they changed the locks and barricaded my door with my own crutches i used when i injured myself. I quickly notified Mrs. Reynolds of the situation and she immediately contacted their attorney and demanded them to let me return to the apartment complex and be allowed to re enter the premises to finish taking my things. I can't say how thankful I am for Mrs. Reynolds without her these apartment crooks would have never returned my property. She also knew exactly how to beat their eviction law suit they filed against me.
