Long to short - my divorce case is a mix of international + US assets, immigration issues and custody issue. As a wife, I am making more income than my ex-husband, hence the case is really coming down to protecting my own assets & all of my pension portfolios. As well as my work permit was unfortunat ely dependent on his visa. After spending sometimes interview 10 top family law firms in Houston, it was not long decision to decide to hire Matthew and his Skillern firm to work on my divorce case from day 0 to finish. Matthew is a top notch lawyer - highly experiences - Ethics - and Strategic. He is not the most easiest lawyer to work with if you are not a good listener (an engineer liked me!) but I learn to trust him on the road. From the start of the case thru the end of mediation, I understand that to be able to lead and win the case, I need a very experience lawyer who understand what and when to negotiate. He gives me the realistic expectation for general divorce case - there is no winner & best practice is to loose minimum.
