Micheal Hanten met with me on 09/30/2021 ---He Was Referred by unbundle legal services. He told me to bring $1000 Cash and then proceeded to tell me the Attorneys for the Plaintiff and the Amicus Hate him and he could not help but took my money and left me in his office and never returned. The ba r has been no help.

He was the worst!!!! I hired him for my criminal case dragged it on for a year he had all the tools to get it dismissed and still put in zero effort he lied about the work he was doing he never spoke to the D.A and still expected more money for trail. I fired him hired another lawyer my case was dism issed 2nd time at court

Update! Ms. Kamal was the answer to my prayers! She's the best family law attorney I have had in 13 years. I wish I had hired her earlier. I came to Stephanie after I lost an emergency hearing that should have never happened! I was in a really bad place and was hopeless! I went to a big law firm, but the attorney I had it was his first case. He fought hard for me, but he wasn't experienced enough to know how to handle someone who manipu lates the court system or the attorney my ex hired who played dirty! After a long almost three year battle with many twists and turns and CPS involvement, Stephanie gained control over the mess I was in! Stephanie is hands down the best family lawyer in the Houston area. She is incredible. She is very knowledgeable, attentive to details, and an absolute incredible litigator in the courtroom. Stephanie's years of experience is highlighted in her skillful questioning on the stand and presence in the court. Stephanie can be hard to reach at times but was always responsive to urgent issues that needed immediate resolution. Stephanie is able to filter the urgent issues and petty/non-urgent matters. Remember, your lawyer is not your therapist. I cannot recommend Stephanie enough to anyone going through a high conflict divorce or family law issue.

I hired Ms Proffitt in the middle of this pandemic. She explained to me that the courts were operating under very different rules and timeframes, but that she would do everything in her power to help my children and me through an abusive and financially draining situation. Her and her staff were al ways responsive. I followed their direction to send messages through their office portal (MyCase) and I never had difficulties gets answers. I have read some of the negative reviews and this was simply not my experience. Her entire staff is helpful beyond measure. Ms Proffitt has compassion for her clients. She truly loves her job. Additionally, she was very generous with her time. I know she could have charged me much more than she did. I highly recommend this attorney.

Based on my experience with Ms Proffitt and her team, I’m convinced that the negative reviews must be other side who got beat or someone who thought this team should work for free. I always received communication, Ms Proffitt kicked my ex’s butt (he refers clients to her now), she discounted or didn’ t charge for work she completed, and her entire team is top notch. She’s smart, kind, and knows the law. I loved how the judges and other lawyers respected her. She’s the BEST!!
