After my first lawyer did nothing for me in the divorce I thought I would never trust another one. In the years after the final decree I had joined a parents rights group and had learned enough on my own and through other members to try for custody. I prepared and filed the proper paperwork with th e court, did all the discovery and depositions, and had jumped through all the hoops necessary. I went to see Ms. Dougherty before the hearing date for the purpose of hiring her to represent me in front of the judge. After she reviewed all the paperwork and we had discussed several matters she told me with a little prep work I could do this Pro Se in front of the judge. She worked with me on my presentation and what to say and not say and had me totally prepared to do it myself. She knows family law, is very trustworthy, and is an example of what an attorney should be. Now one of my sons is going through a divorce with children involved in another county that she does not travel to. His soon to be ex-wife's lawyer, who is reviewed on this site, is not very good in his paperwork. I am advising my son as best I can but before I will let him sign off on any decree I will have it looked at by Ms Dougherty. I trusted her with checking my papers years ago and I trust her with my son's too. She knows family law.

I interviewed several attorneys to represent me in a divorce case before selecting Judy. She was extremely knowledgeable regarding family law. She clearly explained my rights and responsibilities and together we mapped out a plan of action. Judy was calm in demeanor, but aggressive in questioning dur ing the trials and I could tell that she was vested in the outcome--vested in me as a person not just as a client/paycheck. There were many times when I wanted to give up and allow my spouse to take material things, just to have the divorce proceedings come to an end; but Judy continuously encouraged me to refuel and not to simply give up...to release material things because it was the right thing to do, not because it was the easy thing to do. I am most grateful though because despite the fact that this was a legal situation, Judy recognized how emotionally difficult divorce can be and she was extremely compassionate every step of the way. I highly recommend Judy for your family law needs.

Before meeting with Judy, I had never consulted a lawyer about anything ever. I came to her because my ex-husband and I had decided to go through the process of mediation. I was very nervous about the entire divorce process as it represented a change to every aspect of my life. Judy was very kind and compassionate and wanted to make sure she had all the facts before starting the process so that she could best represent my interests. She was very helpful in letting me know what to expect, what the timeline should be for the process and counseled me on reasonable expectations on both sides. She was concerned not only for my legal and financial interests, but also wanted to make sure that I was emotionally supported through all the changes. Knowing what to expect allowed me to feel some sense of control in an otherwise chaotic period. During the negotiation process, Judy allowed me to make all the final decisions but definitely let me know when she thought that I was being too flexible or he was asking for too much. Overall, I was very pleased with Judy and felt like I was very well represented and would recommend her!

I was referred by a trusted friend to consult Ms. Radcliffe regarding a NOT-SO Cut and Dry child support case. She states on the firms about us page, We give "no nonsense" advice and try to tell you the best legal strategy considering the financial and emotional cost to you and this was exactly what she did for me. Ms. Radcliffe advised truthfully about realistic potential costs to fight VS Settling and kept it fairly simple at a time I needed simple direction to make difficult decisions. More importantly, she advised me with the best interests of not only myself, but also the kids involved. Attorney Radcliffe is amazing!!! She handled my divorce and for the most part once I handed it over to her everything else was pretty much a breeze on my side. I had a very difficult divorce as the other party was from overseas but she handled my case amazingly! First of all she DOES allow payment pl ans which made it easier to gain access to the legal service I DESPERATELY needed at a price I could afford, she is efficient and her entire teams communicates effectively even sometimes answering on weekends. From one of the other reviews that said she doesn’t show up for court that isn’t correct. The process for court is that she comes to court but she may have several different cases to try and each case could be on a different floor, this means she is in the building and will make it to your hearing but she may be delayed due to having to come from another floor. In my experience that was the case but she sent her paralegal down to inform the bailiff and she sat with me until attorney Radcliffe came down. She is a BULLDOG in the courtroom and pretty much in representation of you period! It was amazing watching her wipe the floor with the opposing party in my case! She tried her best to communicate with the other party but they did their best to make that difficult and we still came out on top! I also read a review that said she shows up without information on your case this is also incorrect and impossible. My experience from her team was that they reached out a few different times to confirm information, to allow me to look over documents even if not required and to ensure that I felt comfortable with the steps we’d be taking before it was ever presented to the opposing party. My most memorable experience with her and her team was I received an email from her team about my case and i got nervous I drove to her office in absolute tears with my newborn baby in tow (she was very busy please don’t do that to her I was just freaking out and hormonal lol) and you know what she did???? She stopped what she was doing and she had me come in her office right then and there, a blubbering mess!!!! She talked to me calmed me down and explained in detail what was going on as I had misread the documents and misunderstood and she was extremely kind about it and her team as well, she didn’t make me feel rushed or like a nuisance at all (come on now what attorney is providing that kind of hands on service these days) anyway I said all that to say if you really need an attorney a GOOD attorney that takes your case and makes it personal to herself and her staff this is the attorney for you annnddd it doesn’t hurt that she SMOKING HOTTT TOO!
