I hired Amy after my now ex-husband filed for divorce, based on a reference from a friend of mine who is also an attorney. My ex-husband was extremely difficult throughout the entire process, causing me great anxiety, but Amy exhibited a great deal of professionalism throughout the entire process. While many attorneys would get frustrated and prefer to tell you what to do, Amy was great at listening to my concerns & questions and even had feedback when I had suggestions in my case. She has been handling these types of cases for quite some time and her ability to understand idiosyncrasies in the other party was key in the settlement of my case, which was in my favor. I highly recommend Terry Fong Law Group, but more specifically, Amy Olthouse Duenas. Her prices are fair and the quality of work was exceptional. Not only is she a great lawyer but she is truly a wonderful person.

Do not hire her .first time you meet her all she says don't worry .That was my mistake.i Ve lost my case had to pay alimony also lost visitation. She is very expensive. All she does n court just write don't even listen to juge. After court just walks away send you bill.

i typically refrain from writing reviews; however, my experience with the folks at Terry Fong's Law Group has been so positive I decided to sit down and write a review. Since Amy is a mother herself I feel she understands my frustrations regarding co-parenting challenges. Even when she doesn't ha ve personal experience with the challenges I face, she still continues to provide excellent customer service and exemplary legal advice. Thankfully, we haven't appeared in court often but when we do go to court she remains composed and professional while continuing to legally advocate on my behalf. Her paralegal, Andrea, provides exemplary customer service as well! This legal team has been patient and flexible with me regarding payment arrangements and as a single mom that is really important for my budget. Do not know what else to say. Went through an approximately 3 year adoption/custody battle. Amy was not the only lawyer I met with prior to hiring her. Once I met her I knew she was the one to hire. At all times during this case, she was professional, expedient, and supportive. The opposing counsel tried everything possible with tons of motions. I'm not sure what the negative reviews on this site are about, but I have had Mrs. Olthouse Duenas as a lawyer on my family law case for the last 2 years. My ex is constantly cooking up one excuse or another to drag us back to court, and Amy is always quickly prepared to counter his argument. I have recommended several friends to her, and will continue to do so. She has been equally as professional, prepared and exceptional for the work done for them. Amy's fees are in line with any attorney worth your time. If you are looking for bargain basement representation, prepared to get bargain basement results. Anytime I have had a question or needed clarification about an upcoming hearing or document from the court, I have received a timely response from both Amy and her staff. You will do well to hire her for any family law case.

I paid everything to the court and Christiansen last year during a guardianship case. Now I receive a bill for $400 a year later through email for court fees. The only upside is he worked very quickly.

We had talked with a few other attorneys before meeting Wade. After we met him and we talked in debth about our case, we just knew that we had found the perfect attorney for us. He was there when we needed him, even if our needs were small at the time. He was reassuring, but made no promises. Bes t of all, he won our case for us. Not only was Wade a great help, but his staff was fantastic. A very caring group. It sure helped us out duing one of the most stressful times of our lives.

Wade was our attorney in 1997-1998. We hired him to complete a "step-parent" adoption. In that process we learned my husband's divorced to his former wife had not been finalized. My husband with the help of Wade immediately filed for divorce (to the ex). We counseled with Wade at that time as of what we - my husband and I needed to do if anything to validate our marriage. Wade said nothing. Stated our marriage would be "retroactive" back to its original date. He then completed the "step parent" adoption. 15 years later and after 20 years of marriage we are learning our marriage was and is void due to the fact we never "married" after that divorce was completed! I called Wade this past week and left 7 messages pleading that he return my call. The last message I left stated if I didn't hear back from him, I would have little choice but to file a complaint. I just needed to know what his reasoning was to advise us not to marry. I was positive once we spoke to him, this would all be cleared up. I had so much faith in him as our attorney and at the time, our Bishop (LDS). His return call left me devastated and in tears. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He just kept saying, "Go ahead Debbie, FILE YOUR COMPLAINT and I'll answer that and ONLY that!" He said, "Oh now I guess you want FREE LEGAL ADVISE!". No Wade, I want you to tell me why you ruined what was about to be a 20 year marriage celebration! I want you to tell me why my now adult daughter still doesn't have a legal father! And although he wasn't hired to do our 2nd "Step-Parent" adoption a year later, it was still completed under the pretense we were a married couple! If there is a reasonable explanation for this, all you had to do was say it. By your tone, attitude and the fact you hung up on me as I sit there crying tells me you KNOW you gave us bad legal advice! Admitting that would accept that responsibility. We trusted you with our family unit. We trusted your knowledge as a certified attorney. You more than let us down. You've destroyed all that we have worked for.

I hired T. Wade Christiansen to handle the guardianship case for my uncle. At the outset, I was informed that the process could take approximately 6 to 9 months. We eventually received a court date scheduled via Zoom for January 29, 2025. Unfortunately, my uncle’s health declined rapidly, and he w as placed on hospice care with only about a week to live. During this critical time, I made multiple attempts to request an emergency court date. Each time I called the office, I was met with vague responses and promises to follow up, but I rarely received any return calls. The only time I received a response was after expressing my dissatisfaction with the lack of communication. Throughout the process, I was not kept informed of the case status unless I initiated contact. This lack of proactive communication and follow-through was extremely disappointing. After voicing my concerns, Mr. Christiansen informed me that he would not handle my probate case and that I would need to find another attorney. Given the circumstances and the lack of professionalism demonstrated, I cannot recommend this attorney’s services.
