I hired Brooke to enforce an order my ex completely ignored for 10 years and represent me in his modification filed under false pretense. She was nice until in court she was as scared as I was didn’t show the court any of my evidence to prove I was innocent got me in a bandaid order hugged me that th ings would go well as she would begin filing motions for him to be found in contempt of both orders and I never heard from her again… I later learned since everyone knew me or my ex aren’t even in HTX a transfer of venue was required first she was already gone asking for ANOTHER 6k more though all she did was one hearing where we barely spoke. I sent stacks of evidence for no reason and got nowhere.

This attorney botched a traffic case for a changing lanes not in safety ticket in 1987 or 1988. He told me to take defensive driving to clear this ticket, but I was 1 month shy of being elligible to do so. The clerk would not accept my certificate. I notified him what happened. he told me he would a ppeal. He didn't do anything except lie to me several times about the appeal. I was later pulled over and arrested for an outstanding warrant on this ticket. There was never any appeal.

Hired James after consulting with atleast 3 other lawyers. James was very human in his approach and took time to understand the nuance of the case and added complications. Unlike others - he was patient and not watching the clock at the first free consult. After hiring he clearly set up expectatio ns and never over promised. My case was a bit complicated due to need of another lawyer with a different legal expertise and James was a consummate professional who worked well with the other lawyer. In the end James over delivered and took care of everything within a very short period of time unlike others who in their initial consultation scared me and gave long timelines and quoted exorbitant fees. James was not only approachable but he was also very prompt in responding to questions over text and phone calls and was ALWAYS available. I called several law offices and one of them wanted 12,000 dollars up front before they could work with me . That office said I face jail time of 2to 25 years in jail, to be listed as a sex offender, lose my job by showing up with the police . I wanted to take a lil time out and commend Tad Nelson & Associates for all the help they gave me with my legal troubles in Harris County. Right after I moved to southeast Houston last year I started having a few troubles but I never thought I would be in trouble with law in my life ever. Although it took a little over a year and a ton of court resets dates, they finally got a my case DISMISSED. I want to take a moment to commend the staff at the law office.
