The father of my child decided to file a paternity case in Texas (me and my daughter have always lived in California) and after talking to Matt on the phone - I knew he was the one to hire. We were both pretty much on the same page. Matt filed a Special Appearance on my behalf, wrote an amazing argum ent and I provided some exhibits. I was CONFIDENT that he would get it dismissed, however, we were really wanting to get the attorney's fees because of the dbag's wreckless behavior by filing the frivolous lawsuit. Matt was able to get the attorney's fees as well! It was VICTORIOUS!!! I did not have to make a trip to Texas. I had the unfortunate experience of meeting this attorney. She promises to mediate but instead facilitates separation of child and parent. If you are African , Nigerian or Muslim, or Latin she’ll help you. She promotes men not paying child support and father’s rights so women watch out . Surprisin gly, coming from a woman with four daughters that she would separate children from their parents and promote that. She also didn’t catch a fraudulent document filed with. Run if you come across this woman.

Richard was our family lawyer, in the adoption case of our daughter. I met my wife when our daughter was a year old. Since then we have had 3 qty additional children together. I tried to give the biological father every chance to be part of her life but he failed in this endeavor. So, I decided t o adopt our daughter and legally make her my own. He h ad a couple of good reviews (which is rare for attorneys), and at first, he seemed like the right choice. He came across as very nice, professional, and capable of handling our complex case. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after we paid him—upfront and even more than he originally asked for. From that point forward, Richard became dismissive, arrogant, and unresponsive. He constantly shut down my wife, ignored or failed to read our emails, and treated us with a cocky attitude. Despite the fact that we were supposed to be on the offensive, he left us feeling like we were always on the defensive. Even when the opposing side acted blatantly against the law, Richard said and did nothing. The most shocking issue was that Richard actually negotiated with the opposing counsel without our knowledge or consent and even sent us an email documenting decisions he made without our approval. That was completely unacceptable and a betrayal of trust. After reviewing our billing, we realized we had paid him over $21,000 while he did very little to help us. On top of that, he came up with excuses, including health reasons, to explain his lack of work. We later discovered through the state bar that Richard had previously lost his license for similar misconduct with another client—something we wish we had known before hiring him. To make matters worse, Richard seemed to work in sync with the opposing attorney, running up our legal bills while accomplishing nothing. We ended up having to write our own rebuttals for him, as he refused to execute even the basics. He was consistently rude to my wife, gave us the wrong advice, and ignored critical points in our case. In total, we invested over $22,000 in Richard, only to be left with no real progress and the need to hire a new attorney to start over. We will be submitting our experience and documentation to the state bar for review. Richard is a one-man show with no staff, no support, and no accountability. Ms. Flowers represented me in a jury trial that lasted 6 days! I won custody of my two children (boy 5 and girl 10). Ms. Flowers has stood by me for over a year while this case has been going on. She believed in me when everyone else did not, including the protective order judge, when I reported t hat my wife was assaulting me. I hired Mr. Davis in 2018 to handle my uncontested divorce. I had several issues including my receiving the wrong decree and being asked to bring $200 to the court proceeding. I requested a name change for my son and this was spelled wrong in the decree. I have reached out to the firm several times f or an amendment but didn’t receive any response. I also need a certified copy of the decree which I never received. Now I have to spend $2,500 to hire another attorney to correct these issues. Definitely do not recommend.

Ed was very unresponsive and unhelpful. The saying “you get what you pay” for really applies. The petitioner and I jointly paid this person, he represented both parties as far as I view it and again this was uncontested, very easy and simple. He would not respond, was late, missed documents, would no t do his job as stated by the district clerk and requested over the double the amount to file the paperwork he was required to. He would not provide information needed, was rude at several times and did not know what certain forms were. I will look to give reviews further where I can and reach out to whatever council needed to let them know the misrepresentations that the petitioner and I had.

He was God sent. Andrew help take a lien off my house. I hired a contractor to do repairs on my house from Hurricane Harvey. We agreed on a price and when the work was finished he added almost $8,000 more than what we agreed upon and when I refused to pay him the extra $8,000, he placed a lien on my house. I hired a previous attorney before Andrew and he was horrible. He charged me for everything and his prices were ridiculous. I ended up firing him and hired Andrew. Andrew was so professional and his prices were affordable and he gets the job done. Andrew removed the lien off my house and the contractor got a lot less than the agreed amount. Andrew worked really hard on my case and was able to prove to the court the lien was invalid and the judge removed the lien. Andrew was very knowledgeable of my case and worked very hard. She was assigned by the court as an Ad Litem to represent my 16 year old child in a change of custody dispute way back in 2008. Renee failed to recognize a glaring case of Parental Alienation Syndrome that had been an ongoing issue with my extremely narcissistic ex. She did not heed the advice of my child's personal psychiatrist (& close family) & allowed my daughter to move to a foreign country (Panama) with my ex, during her senior year of high school....all to the utter shock of my attorney, who said it should not have ever happened. That became the end of my relationship with my daughter. So much sneaky emotional damage done by ex & he got away with it. Fast forward to 2021 & my daughter is still not a part of my life. How Renee could have condoned this action - to remove a geographic restriction - & allow an egomaniac ex to basically destroy a mother/child relationship by taking our child to another country is beyond my comprehension. She made the wrong decision. I continue to pay the price.

She was hired to represent my grandchildren in a custody case. She didn't visit with the children, she didn't care about the case. All she wanted was money. The other side was able to pay her more money even though she agreed to a reduced amount before taking the case. She lied under oath which I hav e the proof. Although the mother has been arrested, convicted, and in jail, Renee follows the money. Now my grandchildren go unsupervised, unprotected, and failing in school. But at least Renee has lots and lots of money. She is bought and paid for. Biggest mistake of my life was hiring Renee Beilue.

She was hired as an amicus to represent my children in a custody case a couple of years ago. She did a horrible job. She visited with my children 2 times during an 18 month case. She refused to return my emails, texts, and phone calls. She fabricated invoices wanting me to pay for her time talking to my attorney when seeing her in court on unrelated matters. Renee was picked by opposing counsel to be the amicus on the custody case between me and my ex. Now I know why. She was friends with opposing counsel representing my ex. When lawyers take an oath to represent the court and child's best interest friendships between lawyers should be pushed to the s ide. Renee did not do that. She was all about billing and making the most money possible. Only visited with our children once at each home and then based what she heard through her attorney friends. She has a horrible reputation within the family law community in Houston. If you care about your children, do not hire this lady.

I just finished a very difficult divorce in terms of the complexity of issues and the unwillingness of the opposing party to cooperate. The process was long and frustrating at times, but Jennifer stayed on task and kept things rolling even when it seemed liked my divorce might never be finalized. S he made decisive strategy decisions with me, listened to my concerns/desires for visitation and child support issues, and prepped meticulously for my mediation and trial. Her submittals to the opposing counsel and court were always on time. Unfortunately, as we had to go to trial, the legal fees were substantial and I was worried about future payments. She works @ Judy’s office, ABSOLUTLY money hungry. No emails reply on time. Documents always contained many inaccuracies. I had a hearing for which she would not even meet with me until the night before. She drags my case out just to eat up my money. She left my case and moved it to another attorne y at the same office, without even telling me or gives me heads up. Their excuses always the same (contracts say so and so)…Each time I can get hold of someone to talk about my case, it’s a different attorney! And as you know minute counts money and as you know you have to explain the problem again and again each time one of them picks up the phone. She is even scared to face lawyers at the court…actually her office uses her only when they want to withdraw from a case. Do not do my mistake…with her 2 years experience and with her hourly rate; you can definitely get a much better young motivated lawyer….

Gardner (he goes by Gardner but his name is Seaborn) helped me get through a separation and child custody situation that got messier as time went on. I was dealing with a same-sex partner who was disabled and bi-polar. Many times he had to deal with changes in verbal agreements right up until the a ctual signing of papers. It was CRAZY. Gardner told me upfront that this would be his first same-sex situation, but that he was very interested in learning more about it. He contacted former professors, re-read law books to find nuances, etc, to learn about the unique situation. He never once seemed frustrated or inconvenienced, even though we had to go to mediation for 7 hours on a Saturday. Once the mediation got going, he didn't back down and worked through everything so I got the house and the kids, and some support and the college savings plan - basically everything. I would hire Gardner again and recommend him to anyone who needs a knowledgeable, compassionate, yet fierce attorney. And - he worked out a payment plan with me!!!

Gardner has done what I thought was impossible- enforcing my divorce decree. My ex-husband is a lawyer and even though he agreed to the divorce decree, after it was final he told me he wouldn't pay child support and would bring my son home when he felt like it. He said if I didn't like it then to tak e him to court. After four years, of trying to be understanding and work things out, I reluctantly turned back to the courts to intervene.
