I’ve never been so compelled to write a review but nobody deserves it more than Zach Jarvis. In 2020 I was indicted on a federal drug case facing a ten year mandatory minimum. My life and my sprits were in ruins. When I met Zach for the first time I knew I had more than just a lawyer with me. He i s sharp, diligent and compassionate. He fought for me like he was a friend. 2020 was the most difficult of times to navigate a case with the Covid outbreak, but zach did it masterfully. His communication and networking skills are incredible. He had me make reference lists and talked to every person in the community who supported me. He retained many letters from people on my behalf. He hired a mitigation specialist Rick Cowen, (the former head of the federal prosecutor’s) to work with me and my ties to the community. We worked through forfeiture and reclaimed tens of thousands in property. We went through so much over the 18 months. I say we because I was never alone in this fight and I know that he truly cared about getting the best outcome for me. He was never afraid to go to trail. He was prepared and the prosecution knew that. The result was they would drop not only the ten year mandatory minimum but also allow us to argue for under 5 years. I took that deal. When we went in front of the judge the prosecutor argued for a sentence of 72-91 months. My heart sank, but Zach Jarvis took over after that. He completely owned the prosecution and articulated such a convincing argument for a lower sentence I knew halfway threw it we were going to get what we wanted. I received a 44 month sentence. Three years later I’m home. I have my life back because Zach fought for me as if he were a friend. I recommend him to anyone lucky enough to have him.

When facing criminal charges and going through the whole experience it can bring about a lot of emotions; fear, anger, frustration, depression. I could literally right a book on how awesome Zach is. I had a particularly difficult DUI and he made sure to highlight the circumstances that lead up this DUI. I don’t write many reviews, but this one is especially difficult because it’s hard to put into words just how much Attorney Chris Black has helped me. I’ve been battling a serious illness, which has made everything in my life more difficult—including my legal situation. Chris took on my case at the l ast minute, with virtually no time to prepare. To make matters worse, I was hospitalized and unable to communicate with him until the day before my arraignment. Despite these challenges, he immediately knew what needed to be done. He had already developed contingency plans in case I didn’t agree with one approach or another, and from the very beginning, it was clear that he genuinely cared. At one point, I considered pleading guilty to an allegation made by my probation officer because I didn’t want to make things harder on everyone. But Chris strongly advised against it, especially since the allegation was about "not attending treatment"—something he knew I had been too sick to do. Unlike past attorneys who seemed to take the easiest route and simply told me to plead guilty, Chris fought for me. He always took the time to explain my options and encouraged me to reconsider decisions that weren’t truly in my best interest. Whenever he recommended a different course of action, I would research it myself and realize he was absolutely right—he had solid arguments that could actually challenge the system rather than just accepting whatever was thrown at me. Chris never took shortcuts. He never chose the "easiest" path for himself—he chose the path that was best for me, no matter how much extra work it took. His advice was always grounded in years of experience, and at every step, he fought to protect my rights instead of just telling me to go along with whatever was convenient. At the end of my case, I didn’t even know I could request early termination of my supervision—but Chris brought it up on his own. He put in an incredible amount of effort to build a strong argument, and against all odds, he won. I was in the middle of a violation hearing, and because of him, I was able to finalize my case and finally move forward with my life. Without him, I would still be struggling to meet probation requirements while battling my illness. What stands out the most about Chris Black is his heart. You can see it in his face, his eyes, and the way he speaks—he genuinely cares about his clients. He always returned my calls, often within minutes, and gave me direct access to him instead of making me go through a secretary. He fought for me every step of the way, and I will always be grateful for his dedication, compassion, and expertise. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mr. Black.

Chris Black was my federal criminal defense lawyer for a complex case. Of course, lawyers cannot work miracles, but the combination of his work ethic, knowledge, compassion, response time, assistance, realistic conversations about the circumstances and possible options/outcomes, and end results might as well have been a miracle. Every case is different and results may vary, but he will be your best bet throughout the entire process, and even if the end results are not exactly what you hoped for, with Chris at your side they will be the best you can get in your specific situation. He truly is the full package, even if the case goes the trial, he is ready for anything. He is highly respected in the field as well, even amongst judges and prosecutors, which goes a long way. If you have the good fortune to read this and have not yet hired Casey, I say RUN don't walk to any opportunity to have her represent you. Before I hired Casey, I was represented by a mediocre attorney until I realized I needed a smarter, stronger advocate. As such, I interviewed the most reput able attorneys in town and upon meeting Casey it was apparent that she was several notches above most every defense attorney I interviewed. During our interview, she answered every one of my questions intelligently and succinctly without any evasion. I immediately wanted to hire her and since then, I was never disappointed in how she handled my case. Rather, I was impressed by how strategic she was. At all points, her predictions on how the events in my case would play out came to fruition. Casey knew how to request evidence and obtain subpoenas when the Prosecution and the "Victim" held information back. She knew when to push on the key players and when to lay back. As a result, I trusted her implicitly as should anyone who is lucky enough to hire Casey. I have had many transactions with attorneys throughout my life and trust me, it is not easy to find one who possesses Casey's combination of talents, If an attorney is a good writer, they are not always a strong in court. And finding a strategic thinker who can write or litigate well is even more difficult. It is rare to find an attorney who is a strategic thinker, strong writer and articulate in front of a judge all wrapped in one. Casey IS that attorney. My case turned out well, in the end my case was dismissed as Casey predicted. She was even slightly cheaper than that mediocre attorney I hired in the first place.
