Jeff has guided us through two purchases of real estate. One dealt with a property that was an purchasing a family property. This required real strategy to work with a family selling the home that was not accustomed to dealing in real estate and worrying about family perceptions of the sale. The ot her was the sale between family members that required that everyone felt as if everything was completed in the most professional manner. In both cases beyond the exceptional legal advice Jeff also guided us through business strategy that worked very effectively toward completion of the sales. My work involves negotiating particularly complex business relationships, and drafting the underlying contractual agreements, but I know enough to know that I still need expert counsel to inform my residential real estate transactions (particularly amidst the nutty Seattle and Eastside housing market s). I reached out to Jeff from a referral from another real estate attorney, and I am glad I did. The initial consultation was informative and straight to the point. My husband and I asked Jeff to help us with the private purchase of a waterfront property. However, this wonderful little seaside cottage was encumbered with a longstanding, festering boundary dispute along with severe encroachment issues that had to be solved before closing.
