Mr. Axelrod was referred to me by NYCBAR Legal Referral Service. I called him and was promptly connected to him. He gave me some quick advice a about a prior divorce issue and said to call him the next day and let him know how things worked out. I called the next day and was again promptly connected to him. Told him things worked out well and he prepared a letter for me and promptly emailed it to me. He was so nice and helpful and said there was no charge for this. Great guy!!

I like others here was referred to Mr. Axelrod through the Bar Association. Although I was aware of the Bar Association’s high standards, I never needed one of its attorneys until now. Other attorneys that I contacted previously took days before responding and when they finally did respond it wa s with missed connections and other annoyances. Mr. Axelrod’s inner-office infrastructure seems to be very modern, professional and fast and I was able to get actual help quickly. I was able to send documents for review while we were both still on the phone. This was so important to me since I was under a lot of duress and dealing with a very serious housing matter in New York Civil Court that needed immediate attention. Being able to talk to a real Attorney (Mr. Axelrod) was important. And thats not all. I felt as if Mr. Axelrod was really concerned from the start, and that he knew exactly what I was dealing with and could imagine the best legal approach in resolving my case. I did not feel pressured by Mr. Axelrod to make any commitments during his consultation. And in fact, I was eager to have him come to court and represent me. Mr. Axelrod is the type of attorney everyone hopes for when looking for an attorney.

Peter is highly knowledgable, thorough, responsive, and empathetic. He answered all my questions, explained my tenant rights and options, reviewed all the documents from my landlords lawyer, and helped me to settle my case with an outcome that I am very happy with. He was very available and respon sive via text and phone call which was helpful. Having him on my side gave me a lot of peace of mind. I would recommend him to any tenant who is being unlawfully sued by their landlord.
